Detailed Reviews
We were there for New Year's eve with my wife and 2 daughters. The Staff and Hotel Management really were amazing. Seriously, they went above and beyond to give us the best customer experience.
Hotel location, spa, rooms and other facilities are just top of the line. I would just have some reservations about the food - but to be fair they are investing a lot and im sure the breakfast menu particularly will be top notch by the time we get back ☺️

Very nice hotel, it is a relatively new construction with a long list of amenities (pool, sauna, outdoor garden with many lounge chairs, chapel, gated play structure, many of which are kid friendly. Our room had a balcony with a nice view. Onsite restaurant was good as was the beer.

This hotel markets itslef as Spindleruv Mlyn resort and as five stars. When you get there you realize it is far from the brautifull ski resort and facilities and risky to drive. The road is dark, narrow and risky and it is a very unpleasant experience to get there in the afternoon or evening. While they advertise as ski in/ski out the lifts in the area don't operate and it is a long way to the mountains. The staff does not speak English and the quality of service is poor. The rooms are decorated in old fashion and not inviting to stay. The reservation experience was also not comfrtable with a requirement for wire transfer. Not recommended!

+1
Located nearly at the border of the country, up the mountain, it was hard to find for our GPS. As we arrived: no parking available. There was a parking area, but the cars were parked so randomly, that i wondered if they could all drive out without being blocked by another car. So I parked myself along the road. The reason could be the building site a the back side of the hotel: they are busy building a new underground parking. No need to mention that. The road is long enough.
We booked half a year ago. As we are a family of four people, we had to book for 2 rooms. At arrival, they said we got a 3-person and a 2-person room. Nice: extra bed. When we entered the first room, we saw 4 beds. So: why did we have to book and pay for 2 rooms, if 1 rooms fits for all? So they didn't know they had a room with four beds. The second room was the smallest in the building, behind the elevator (see picture). So small, that even night cabinets were missing.
Our room was on the back side, so we had this "marvellous" view: see picture.
First night: bad sleep. The blankets were definitly to short (1,8m long only) and the matresses were to soft and used. Filled with some foam (see picture) where one would expect boxspring matresses. The second night, I took a matress of one of the other beds. Only 80 cm wide, but better foam inside. Curtains were to light to keep the early sunlight out, so at 4 am I was awake because of the first sunlight. Curtains were also not wide enough to cover the whole window (see pictures). So second night, I put the remaing matress against the window to block sunlight.
Breakfast is OK. Large choice, good quality, except for the orange juice. Made by a machine based on concentrated juice, where they added to much water. tasted more like water than like orange juice. The coffee: 2 slow coffee-machines for a breakfast room with 80 guests. So you had to line up for coffee.
The restaurant at evening: just perfect: quick, gentle but professional service, good meals. Many student girls in the service, none of them speaking German or English. But they do their good quite good. Nice place and an nice view over the mountains if you are lucky to catch a table at the window. The good restaurant is the only reason for me to gave a 3/5-score. otherwise, I would have given a 2/5-score for this hotel!
Other facts.
At the reception, they speak English very well. Exceptional in the region.
Only cash payment ( for such a crowded hotel? Robbers: this is the place to be).
Hard access for disabled people: only steps, so lift up you heavy suitcases too.
V e r y s l o w e l e v a t o r.
If you ask for a picknick, ask for something else then bread filled with cold schnitsel and mustard.
Nordic-walking sticks are for rent at the reception desk. Unfortunately, they had only 2 sticks available, and one was broken. Sorry.
For the best rated hotel in a exclusive location in the Czech republic, I expected more then I got here. Am I exagerrating? Maybe, but that's why I added pictures, so you can judge for yourself.

Generally, the hotel was clean, staff was very kind and helpful. Nice area outside and not too expensive stay, dishes were tasty and the beer was also very tasty, but...breakfasts were dull and modest, as for the fruits, only apples were available. It changed a little bit when more guests arrived during a weekend but it caused a problem with a parking space on the other hand, cars had to be parked in front of the hotel in the street or one after another. Internet was working so-so, sometimes in the middle of the room there was a good reception, next to the window, on the table, the connection was breaking down. The door lock in our room was damaged, we could only close the door with turning the key, not by a door handle.

Set high up near the Polish border this hotel is a little far from the main skiing area but has an awesome view with great value for money. The good:
+ Nice location, with nice view into the Czech mountains.
+ Half board option at €80 per night for 2 people.
+ Food is very good considering what you pay. Also option to dine A-la-carte (no experience)
What's less:
- It's a (beautiful) 20 minute car ride from the main skiing area of Mlyn (there is also a bus every hour)
- The north facing room we had was small but fair considering the price
- No bar to enjoy a drink after returning from a day of skiing

Dear guest from Amsterdam, We would like to thank you for your words. We are happy you enjoyed a nice location of the hotel Erlebachova bouda with a beautiful view on the Giant Mountains, food in our restaurant and favourable price-performance ratio. From the centre of Spindleruv Mlyn it is 8 km to our hotel. The road to us is regularly treated and as you mentioned there is also shuttle bus with bus stop in front of the hotel. Only several ones of the rooms type north are small and for them we provide discount. The most of rooms type north are spacious. Our restaurant is opened minimally to 10 p.m., according to the guests´ requests, so it is possible to enjoy the drink till the late evening. In this winter there is also disco every weekend in our restaurant. We hope to see you in our hotel again. Gabriela Kozakova Resort Sv. František - Erlebachova a Josefova bouda

This was my second stay there. I visited Erlebachova bouda last year during summer with my family. This year I have spent very relaxing weekend with my good friend. Nice area, good kitchen, good staff - only what they are missing so far is the spa. When they will finished it, it will be really piece of paradise in Krkonoše :-). Special thanks to reception ladies for their advice and motivation for mountain hiking, as well for ad hoc organizing of evening massages. They did really a great job :-)!

Far the best service I have ever experienced in Krkonose in last 30 years. VERY friendly staff and also proffessional attendance in their restaurant. Clean and nice rooms. Excellent view from terrace of the restaurant. Good start point for your summer hiking trips . You need permission to drive in this zone from Spindleruv Mlyn. Hotel will send it to you by mail, don´t forget to print it out for possible check of police. In a room you will also find the suggested hiking trips summary-very helpfull. Next time to Krkonose-definitely here.

Dear Tomas, We are very proud to be able to read that you consider service in our hotel as the best one you have experienced in the Giant Mountains in last 30 years. We are glad you appreciate our staff as friendly and its attendance as professional, rooms nice and clean. Equally as you many people enjoy the beautiful view from the terrace. In 2014 we finished annex to our hotel, so you can enjoy the view from new upper and lower terrace. We have a lot of next plans, which we gradually realize. We really hope that you will visit us to see and enjoy on your own the improvements we have done here. Nice greeting from Erlebachova bouda. Gabriela Kozakova Resort Sv.
