I cannot say anything positive about some of the staff at the reception desk, which was not only uncooperative but just plain rude to the paying customer. On our first visit, me and my wife booked a massage service, an hour each, scheduled later in the day. That visit went fine, and the person getting our booking was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the shift apparently already changed when we arrived again for our massage. We appeared at the reception desk about 10 minutes early, and the new person we met there quite harshly instructed us to sit in the corner until the time was exactly right. In the meantime we were asked several questions, while the staff was repeatedly switching to German, although it was clear from the start that we prefer communicating in English. But the most unexpected happened only after my wife was asked to follow to the massage room. After just a few minutes later, as I was waiting in the corner for my turn, I was ordered by the desk staff to leave the premises, because the reception needed to be closed and locked (the staff had to leave for some reason). I had to wait out an entire hour on the street, waiting my turn for the massage. Finally, I resorted to visiting a bar across the street. When my wife retuned, I warned her about this strange situation, being worried about her safety - at that time (around 8 PM) it was already dark outside and the street was empty. I was ready to cancel my turn and just leave, but she did not believe me at first and insisted I should go with my scheduled visit. After I had my turn for the massage, I learned from my wife that she also was asked by the same staff member to leave the hotel (exactly as I had warned her this might happen). What an appalling behaviour towards a woman! Fortunately my wife had the fortitude to strongly protest against being thrown out into a dark street and had to endure the dubious pleasure of sitting out my massage in some wet and steamy corner of the hotel corridor, next to the sauna entrance, where she was ordered to wait instead. Is this the company policy to treat non-residents in such a degrading manner? I definitely recommend finding an accommodation elsewhere, not to risk to experience such an awful treatment in this place. Regarding the massage service itself, it was done professionally and with great care and attention. And this is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of just one. Such a shame to ruin the effort by an unprofessional co-worker at the reception desk!…
We stayed 5 nights at this hotel and we left it with a good feeling. Why? The room was clean and cosy, and the bed was not to hard or soft but perfect, the staff was helpful and always smiling. The hotel had a perfect location not far from skibus who took us to some fine skiareas. After a day with skiing we tried the hotel spa with jacuzzi and finland sauna and relaxing area. Just perfekt! We also liked the breakfast. It had everything we like to eat, and we also had a great evening dinner here with local food but still modern. We can recommend this hotel. We will come back another time.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Spindleruv Mlyn! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff especially lovely receptionist Nicol. She was very friendly and helpful shoving us main attractions of the town. Me and my wife enjoyed staying in our luxury room with Hotel Spa tuned in relaxing music we appreciated a lot! The restaurant staff was very flexible and the restaurant cook deserves a special thanks for delicious cakes. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.
Fantastic hotel in this spectacular resort hidden in Czech mountains with its fantastic staff in an ideal location, breakfast always plentiful and a good choice. My experience with Hotel Grand always exceeds our expectations! It’s our 8th visit! All the amenities at the property are first class but it’s the staff what really makes it enjoyable. They are all friendly, professional, and most importantly accommodating whenever we need assistance, and of any sort. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Grand’s 3-Star as your first choice for accommodation when visiting Spinderluv Mlyn. A big thank you goes out to the GM Tomas, Alena and it’s entire staff. A home away from home...and always hard to leave. We will be back, and perhaps so should you.
Nice small hotel with good small wellness area. If you want to go wellness area more than once you have to pay. Hery good location. Close to ski bus stop and restaurants. Room clean. In general but to expensive.
