Hotel Astra is a family hotel in the heart of the Giant Mountains - in Špindlerův Mlýn. From the hotel you have beautiful views of the mountains and of the dam. The distance to the center is 500m. The Astra Hotel is comfortably equipped with double, triple or quadruple rooms. Five-bed apartments are available for families with children. We stayed 2 people in a twin beds room. Rooms are just as in the pictures. Clean and comfortable. Hotel is located 15 min walk from Hromovka ski areal, 5 min walk from free buss station, 5 min drive from city centre. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

We just spent a few autumn days at this hotel. It is 3* hotel. We have ordered an "Autumn package" plus half board. With 2 small children we had a family room, even 4 beds inside, it was enough space for children to play. Foor was good - we could choose also something for children. There is a nice pool in the hotel, good place to relax and spend time. Great space for parking. I would recomend this hotel if you don´t look for luxury hotel, but you would like to be in a nice normal place. Staff also helpful and friendly.

Positive: friendly staff, very fast wifi, free parking, clean room (important for me - they clean it in the morning).
Negative: very small and old lift, too many stairs to go wherever, not big buffet but enough.
I would repeat if we go again to Spindleruv mlyn.

This is a classic Eastern block hotel that has been rebuilt. But The heating system is still dysfunctional. The heater in the room could not be turned off. Turning the room into a sauna. The heater in the bathroom could not be turned on, so the towels were always wet. The swimming pool offers no launching possibility. You either swim or you're not there at all.. At breakfast they ran out of bread at nine thirty. No effort to compensate or excuse themselves. This hotel is worth hundred euros a night but cost two hundred. That completely out of the range.

Young girl at the check in is kind. Level of English of staff can improve by far.
Price: as 4 stars hotel 87 euro with breakfast same and higher than what found asking on site at nice 4 stars hotels.
Room change afte day 1: Blankets were old, did not change Kleenex, no comfortable place to leave luggage.
Customer service: asked payment on arrival (I normally ask) though they had my card. Parking was not sufficient for all guests and the additional available was far away. Finally they said that I communicated to an employee that i would have left the room 2 day in advance WHICH I NEVER DID.

Recommended by friend, but really big disappointment. The menu looked promising, unfortunately the food was very low quality. Definitelly you can find better places to eat in Spindleruv Mlyn for the money.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days while skiing in the beautiful hills of Krkonose. Our stay was simply wonderful - all the staff at this hotel were absolutely lovely. I have food allergies (to gluten and dairy) and eating out can be very difficult, however chef Radek has made eating at the hotel a wonderful experience. He give me information about each dish, so I could make an informed choice. He also cooked dishes specifically for me when possible - honestly this is such a lovely thing to do as I'm usually limited to 1 dish on a menu in a restaurant, here I had a real choice of dishes each day. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food - traditional Czech cuisine done very well, plenty of option and superb staff that worked very hard each day to make our stay lovely. From the ladies that cleared away dishes and always remembered to bring me some gluten free bread and dairy free milk, to the waiting staff - Ondra, who was very attentive, remembered our favorite drinks and always had a ready recommendation for a drink with a dinner, to wellness and reception staff, who helped us with reservations. The cleanliness in the hotel was great too, it's very clear that the staff at this hotel do their best for their guests.
We had a delightful stay that we will remember for a long time, thank you!!!

Our tourist group was very happy for the stay in Hotel Astra. They enjoyed the swimming pool, which was included in the price and the breakfast was nice as well. Probably the best hotel in the region.

Definitely not what I was expecting. The room is very simple and the breakfast is very poor. Everything need to be prepaid in the reception, you can't write it on the room and pay at the end of your stay. The towels are changes every 3 days !!!! The water in the pool is too cold. There are much better hotels for this price.
