The hotel is very basic in its room equipment (eg no hairdryer, showecream) BUT staff always welcoming, if you are skiing, you can find dedicated room to store your equipment (nonstop under cameras), if you are with children, you can find veeeery nice and big room for kids to play there including places for parents to relax. Hotel also provides massages, stunning views from the room on the downhills, the ski area is very close, so basically you have everything by your hand. We've got a half-board - don't expect miracles - basic kitchen of three to four meals, soup and drinks (beer, vine, soft drinks and water) - this was very useful due to the fact we can rest in the evening and weren't push to visit the city center for dinner. Enioy your stay in here.
Hotel is situated in the quite area called „Ryzoviste“with walking distance to the Ski-lift. It is about 250 m to the platter lift for beginners and about 500 m to the chairlift. There is plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. The driveway to the hotel is quite steep, so in winter you better have ready a chains for wheels . The furniture in the room is new, bed is comfortable. Bathroom and toilet would deserves a renovation, but everything was clean. Little complaint to the capacity of dinning room. If the hotel is fully booked, the dinning room is overcrowded. But the food was delicious. In buffet everyone can find what suits him best – soup, variety of 3 main dishes, desert, vegetable…... During the dinner, you can get free drink from soda bar, wine or beer. For children, there are 4 play rooms : one spacious playroom with a lots of toys, little room for drawing, one game room with racing simulators (cars, bikes) and air hockey (coins needed ), and room with 2 ping pong tables. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are definitely coming back next year. I would recommend the hotel for groups with kids. Good deal for the money.…
The Parkhotel Harrachov is lokated in Rýžoviště. This hotel was great. We enjoyed a week there. The staff was friendly. We recommend a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The conditions in Harrachov for skiing are excellent. They offers night skiing - it was amazing.
I spent 5 days here in August 2014 with my wife and 6yr old daughter. We booked all inclusive and were quite happy there. We only spent meal times and slept there as we were on a hiking trip. There is no childrens activity during the summer months in this hotel but the nearby fitfun does have evening entertainment and you can use their swimming pool if you are inclined which was clean and reasonable. The Park Hotel has seen better days but the room we were in was clean and good sized. The car park needs some attention as it is not really big enough for the number of cars that use it nowdays and the outside childrens playground needs repairing and some new equipment fitted. Staff were helpful and the barman was very pleasant and kind. Not speaking any Czech did cause some issues as one receptionist spoke good English whereas the other did not and none of the other hotel staff did either. Having a basic grasp of Polish/Slovak helped enormously here and most of our communications were done with us both being fluent - albeit in two different langauges! Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. Lunch was standard Czech food (meat and veg with a pudding) and the evening meal was the same style. Different dish each day with a choice of two or three main courses, we certainly were able to find something that we liked. I particularly enjoyed the liver gulash which was good and flavoured but I was in a minority in that I actually do like liver. Most of the German guests chose something else when the realised what it was. The buffet style is help yourself to whatever you want, so there was never a shortage of food and the meat servings were quite generous. All inclusive includes drinks and afternoon tea/cake which is actually very good value and was about £2 more per adult per day than half board! You could substitute lunch for a packed lunch which we did after day one. The packed lunch is a bit of a dissapointment compared to the lunch you are forgoing. Two sandwiches (buttered only one side) with salami or cheese and a chocolate bar with nuts (allergic cant eat) and a 2 ltr bottle of fizzy, salty water and some fruit. Problem with full board offer is not the food which was very good but a) we wanted to be in the mountains in the fine weather without having to come back for lunch and b) didnt want to end up waddling home from overfeeding. WiFi only in public area. All things considered we had a good time there and will definitely visit again in the summer for a few days. Add to this the offer that my daughter stayed free due to her age and this was a very economical hotel. Smashing walks in the area and not far from town centre but far enough to be very quiet. If you dont speak Czech or German (or dont like Czech sparkling water) you will probably find this hotel unsuitable for you. If like us, you are happy to muddle through, this is a good hotel that has received a lot of mixed reviews that I would say are probably not very fair. The Hilton it ain't, but a good clean family hotel (summer at least) it most certainly is.…
Hotel was very comfortable, staff was friendly, and the location was great - Free wifi they let us check in at 10 am, cleaning up an empty room right away just for us. Very good service. recommend this hotel
The hotel was booked via travel agent. We spent great time and enjoyed all including food, rooms and outdoor activities. It was worth and memorable stay. Going in this par of mountain in CZ make sure not to miss this place.
As soon as we arrived at the hotel, I was thrilled to see the beautiful lobby and surroundings of the hotel. Miss receptionist was very nice, always smiling and helpful, as well as all of the staff. We stayed in a four bed room with wonderful view to a "Čertova hora". The room was nice and clean. The restaurant was also always clean with a helpful and smiling staff. The food was excellent - the choice for everyone. For children there was a large playroom with lots of toys while we used the sauna with my wife what we were after a day of skiing really appreciated. We liked a stay in this hotel definitely we come again and recommend it to others. Big thanks to the whole staff by a family from Brno :)
If you like small rooms, not working TV, insufficient parking capacity, horribly overpriced drinks at dinner and bored employees so this hotel is the ideal choice for you. In particular, I would like to highlight the refined organizational humor of hotel staff during breakfast - despite total lack of capacity of the restaurant they have been obsessively refusing to let guests into the next (bar)room, so some of the guests decided to have breakfast on the floor :o) In order to see something like that you usually need to buy expensive tickets to Asia but here is the same experience for a few bucks in the heart of Europe!
This hotel does not honor reservations. We made a family reservation (4 kids and 2 adults) one month in advance only to arrive to be told that there was a "small problem". The bigger room that we requested was not available as a previous guest refused to leave. The hotel owner and its workers are not honest and kept stringing us along to believe that they would get them to vacate their rooms. The truth is that this hotel only cares about satisfying the travel agencies that feed it business. All others will get completely screwed! We witnessed 4 other customers receive the same treatment during our 2 days stay - absolutely pathetic and no excuses. I left after 1 day and requested my money to be returned and god only knows whether I will receive it. Substandard conditions and I will never set foot into this establishment again. I can only hope others do not get scammed like I was.…
We stayed in this hotel 7 days in July. We got room in the old attic. Dirty walls, No function ventilator in the bathroom. Exterier and new reception hall is nice but interier of hotel upstairs is really old and stinks. The restaurant want also reconstruction, small breakfast, and dinner small choice. Still full restaurant. The locality is really crazy. If you haven´t got car is cca 3km of the center city. The buses going only in the summer. The hotel is also on the big craggy hill, so in July, 30C wheather is really comfortable:-)The swimming pool and whirpool is not here!!!Anywhere.. 2 plus- Hotel personal stuff very kindly, helpful. And hotel is in the total quiete countryside.
