You will be surprised with things like deposit for TV remote control, only one key from room even you are family with 4 members.
Restaurant is not normal restaurant which you would expect in hotel. For launch they offer only 2 menus which are fix and additionally you can order French chips, sandwich… but that’s all.
Buffet breakfast is quite pure as you will not find here any fresh vegetable. It looks like a general issue as for buffet dinner you have choice from 4 meals (average quality and taste), but again, what is absolutely missing is fresh vegetable. If you will find some salad than always with some heavy dressing or mayonnaise.
Time management is also not strong side of the hotel. Hotel is organizing some animation for kids but start at 7pm means 7:30 when you are lucky.
Not to be only negative. Personnel are usually helpful and smiling. Also service in bar is quite good and cocktails are nice. Also spa procedures are OK and you can find here professional staff.
If you are looking for low cost hotel and your main focus is nice nature around and you do not plan to spend in hotel much time, then you can go here.
Location just perfect to start hiking to the Mumvlava waterfalls and other Krkonoše highlits.

Bad points first.
The first impressions of the room are depressing. The web page photo of a typical room is technically accurate, but in reality the furniture is dark and basic, probably mid 70's. The bathrooms are re-fitted but are very small, claustrophobic even. The public toilet style toilet roll holder on the wall is ugly and takes up valuable space! The toilet paper seems of similar origin.
Bedside lamps are provided but are very low and the heavy glass shade makes them useless for reading in bed. A giant sized glass lampshade on the single ceiling light is ugly and easy to hit accidentally.
The single pillow is thin and required folding double to be any support.
Furniture in public areas is also 70's and shows its age.
In the restaurant, breakfast selection was average but on one day was very poor.
Evening meals were okay but there seems to be a problem in the kitchen with re-filling the hot meats selections. Trays were sometimes almost empty for long periods leaving guests no choice at all.
Good points now..
Location is good, Harrachov centre is a short walk downhill, and there is a good choice of eating and drinking places there. We never needed to use the car during the stay.
The hotel restaurant is a good size and was never crowded, the 3 waiting staff are efficient and hard working.
The snacks available in the bar are good sized, tasty and cheap.
The "wellness" aspect is good, the pool is reasonably sized and there is a maximum 15 allowed to use it at one time (we found that it was too crowded for actual swimming with 6 however).
Staff in the wellness section are efficient and professional and a good range of massage and therapies is on offer.
The hotel, rooms included, is clean and reasonably maintained despite the outdated decor and furniture.
The Czech staff speak German, but few if any speak English.
was off and room windows opened. At our arrival, we had to sit in our room in a winter jacket to keep our self warm. Later afternoon hotel turned heat on for a few hrs and we woke up at 2:30am we were cold - heating was turned off again.
Dining area had very dirty carpet, food a little selection, but tasty. We went there to relaxe, but that was a mistake. Try hotel "Sklar" next door. Much better selection and management is nice and pleasant.
