If you want to experience the feeling of how Czech hotels used to work in the 90s, you have a great opportunity. Pros: clean rooms, parking (extra charge), fast strong wifi Cons: - no fridge in rooms - outdated room amenities - small 90's style bathrooms - TV in rooms only 22'' size - extra charges for everything: parking, sauna, fitness room - very poor gym equipment - hotel full of screaming small children - signs with prohibitions like in socialism times - see photo Guests who do not have half board must order dinner by 7 pm at the reception. At 7:01 pm, the receptionist told us with an annoyed expression that it was unfortunately too late... Never again to this hotel. What a contrast with the nearby OREA hotel Sklář.

Ideallylocated hotel in the heart of Harrachov close to the main skiing and sightseeing attractions. Beautifully reconstructed bars with great selection of drinks and wines. Rooms also reconstructed, fresh new look. Will be back soon this winter :-)

A beautiful weekend spent at the hotel. Cleanliness, perfect food (breakfast and dinner) in newly renovated premises, friendly staff and romantic surroundings with many attractions, all at a very affordable price. We look forward to the next time.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and a perfect bar open late with great drinks. Enjoyed time in a small spa all by ourselves. Location just perfect to start hiking to the Mumvlava waterfalls and other Krkonoše highlits.

Visited the hotel during cross country skiing event with a big group. Nice hotel with all facilities. Breakfast and dinner was good and rooms were okay. Clean and good space. Will not hesitate to returning on future visits. Short walk from city center of Harrachov. Thanks to the hotel management for giving us waxing facilities in hotel garage.

We stayed there for a business meeting. Everything was as we agreed, no need to ask again for anything. The hotel is older, but we didn´t need any luxury spaces. Rooms were prepared, also the seminar hall was prepared exactly as we needed incl. coffee breaks. All meals were lovely, fresh. I understand somebody can feel strange due to the hotel seems as we could travel several years ago - older with a typical socialist architecture, but it is only the first view. The second view and mainly the staying says totally something else - the staff is friendly and helpfully, food is good, the hotel is clean. We were a group with 80 people and nobody complained for anything. The hotel is large, so if you prefer smaller hotels, this one isn´t good choice for you. The good thing is a large space for parking of cars.…

When I saw the hotel from the outside, I thought 'this is gonna be really bad'. It is a typical Czech socialist architecture, which apart from its poor aesthetic value often comes with socialist level of services. Luckily the first impression proved to be wrong and the hotel is not as bad as one expects... Most employees were helpful and nice and amenities ok. Rooms may look a bit dated, but everything worked just fine. Perhaps the only disappointment - when I asked for fresh juice, I was slightly mocked by the waitress as if she didn't know juice can be freshly squeezed or as if I was somewhat snob. Also there was no wifi in our room.

This hotel is considered a "3 star" hotel but I would give it a "1 star." This is based off my experience of living in the Czech Republic and having stayed at many hotels in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Hotel Svornost is old, run-down, and cheap. Except for one staff member, their customer service was very poor. They have tons of employees, but they are just sitting around. No one speaks English. At all the other hotels I have stayed at in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, some staff will speak English. Hotel Svornost has very poor food quality. Their breakfast and dinner buffet consists of cheap foods and lacks vegetables and fruits. The hotel rooms has furniture with holes in them and cheap, brown, rough toilet paper. You have to take your room towel to the swimming pool and sauna and cannot get a new towel for 3 days. I could go on and on. Avoid this hotel.…

Hotel is quite old, needs TLC. Outside temp was about 40F (5C) and the central heating system was off and room windows opened. At our arrival, we had to sit in our room in a winter jacket to keep our self warm. Later afternoon hotel turned heat on for a few hrs and we woke up at 2:30am we were cold - heating was turned off again. Dining area had very dirty carpet, food a little selection, but tasty. We went there to relaxe, but that was a mistake. Try hotel "Sklar" next door. Much better selection and management is nice and pleasant.

Hotel is quite old and it is visible everywhere. Rooms are quite small and furniture is in really bad condition. Beds are also not very comfortable. Probably no investment was done during last 30 years. You will be surprised with things like deposit for TV remote control, only one key from room even you are family with 4 members. Restaurant is not normal restaurant which you would expect in hotel. For launch they offer only 2 menus which are fix and additionally you can order French chips, sandwich… but that’s all. Buffet breakfast is quite pure as you will not find here any fresh vegetable. It looks like a general issue as for buffet dinner you have choice from 4 meals (average quality and taste), but again, what is absolutely missing is fresh vegetable. If you will find some salad than always with some heavy dressing or mayonnaise. Time management is also not strong side of the hotel. Hotel is organizing some animation for kids but start at 7pm means 7:30 when you are lucky. Not to be only negative. Personnel are usually helpful and smiling. Also service in bar is quite good and cocktails are nice. Also spa procedures are OK and you can find here professional staff. If you are looking for low cost hotel and your main focus is nice nature around and you do not plan to spend in hotel much time, then you can go here.…
