Spent a week at Novotel and it was a very good time. The hotel is very beautifully designed, rooms are large and comfortable, of unexpectedly Nordic design. Everything is reasonably clean and well maintained, though some sheets and towels may happen with some old stains. If you leave tips for room keeping, surely you will find “sculptures” made from towels and hibiscus blossoms (in case you like such things). Bathroom is spacious and clean, everything is in good order, but the water takes ages to warm up and never reaches more than tepid temperature. OK in summer, not so in cool winter evening.
Food was excellent during the whole stay, different choices, lots of fresh vegetables. Amazingly good coffee. Drinks so so – juices very synthetic, red wine barely drinkable (that is expected – Egypt is not a wine country), white wine tolerable, beer quite good. Cocktails are better avoided, unless you like an non-descriptive mixture of synthetic juices and local moonshine. There is no regular swimming in the sea from the beach, but on the other hand, if you are into the scuba diving, there is no need to go anywhere further: the reef with all its beauty is at the end of the wooden bridge from the hotel beach. For the rest there are three pools, one is heated, pleasant to swim also in winter.

Close to all attractions (pools, sea, hotel restaurants, gym and spa). Rooms equipped with all essentials and cleaned on daily basis - you may be woken up to sea view as the hotel is located near the beach. Vast variety of food in form of a buffet plus live cooking stations (i.e. eggs, pasta or grill). The staff troughout the hotel was friendly. You might be suprised with their knowledge of some phrases/words in your mother language. There are everyday sports events such as aquagym, waterpolo, stretching or volleyball. For the evening I recommend to grab a drink and enjoy the show!
Drawbacks: free wi-fi is not working properly (you may treat it as some sort of rehab). Be also prepared that seawater is much warmer than the one in swimming pool.

We have stayed at this lovely well kept hotel 3 times and were due to go again this March but have had to postpone it until September so keeping our fingers crossed. The staff are so very friendly and remember us which is lovely. All of the pool guys are so helpful but we have one special smashing pool guy who looks after us and we have never felt we had to tip him though we do at the end of our stay! The pool bar man looks after us well even though neither of us drink alcohol so he cannot show off his cocktail skills! It was Michael on our first trips but he was moved to the indoor bar but he still recognised us one evening in the dark when we were walking to the restaurant, we missed him but his replacement was also very helpful
The food is lovely and always plentiful and lots of choice, my husband loved the egg man and was always surprised by how rude some of the guests were but how he always smiled anyway!
The rooms are lovely and spacious and cleaned every day and the huge bed has the sheets etc changed regularly. Our lovely cleaner for our first 2 visits actually dashed up to us on our last trip to say hello on our last day as he had just returned from holiday and as we had asked for a different room so had a new cleaner that time. It does make you feel special and very much at home.
The reception staff are very helpful especially when our Hoppa transfer let us down on our last trip. The manager at that time has apparently moved to another hotel but his replacement was helping me to get the room of our choice for our March trip so 8 will have to hope for the best for our next one!
All in all a lovely holiday in a lovely hotel👍😀

1. The buffet is far below average in every way. This included the cleanliness, the quality and variety of food and drinks, but the worst bit was the attitude of the majority of the staff. The chef at the egg station and cheese bar were hostile. One of them was called Kamal he was particularly rude. Generally Egyptians are known to be friendly but not here.
2. The rooms are spacious and relatively clean with comfy beds. The rooms were stocked on day 1 with toiletries ( soap, shampoo and shower gel), tea and coffee making facilities but these consumables were not necessarily replaced daily. We had to request them. We also requested shower caps and slippers and were lucky to get them! Other members in our party were not given any.
3. The pool is heated but each guest is allowed one beach towel per day!!! This is what the beach attendant told me explicitly because they won’t have enough towels if the guest needed to replace their wet towel! One day I was given a damp towel which was obviously used but folded to look new because it was the last one.
Pros:
My wonderful friends who made the stay enjoyable despite all the above.
All in all there’s no way this hotel is 5 stars. I will write to Novotel because we assumed that there will be certain standards being a Novotel hotel which were non existent at all and neither myself, nor my friends will stay in this hotel ever again. In fact we will think twice before staying in any Novotel hotel in the future

Stayed here for 10 days with mrs and a friends couple, it was a 1st time experience for me with all inclusive and I’m inclined to admit I will definitely not seek another all inclusive experience any time soon. The hotel was clean although the staff did not bother on regular basis to serve a cold drink during your dinner or lunch, drinks were poured into semi clean glasses which were rinsed with the tap water (definitely increased chance for a stomach problems later on). The prices for services and attractions seemed to vary on daily basis as if dependent on mood of the person who would try to sell it to you. Barman Mahmoud from the pool bar overall a very decent, kind and thoughtful lad as well as an omelette maker always friendly polite and keen to assist not like many others. Definitely not a 5* hotel, I will definitely not return.

We had to wait for our room for somewhere in the region of two hours, we had to pay for bottled water although there was quite a few large containers around with water being dispensed into plastic cups some of which had no cooling and we ended up drinking plenty of warm water.
In the rooms there was no paper information about mealtimes so it was quite a bit of guesswork.
On a good point the restaurant food was good quality and very well organised there was never any lack of food and Covid safety precautions were very very good

I'm not sure what to say about this hotel..
After arrival we were welcomed by kind staff who took us to the room, although I didn't like offering us "better room near pool" for 30€ per week (the room was same, no any difference).
Rooms were clean, with big and comfortable beds and well done everyday 👏 although we were missing waters in the room at first (after inform to front desk, it was ok)
Hotel generally is in nice place with garden, looking good, but pool wasn't so clean, so we better went to swim to the sea from the pier..
Sea is full of nice and colorful fishes 🐟
Food in the restaurant was everyday the same, not so big choice, but I can understand that in COVID times is different.
Everyday was happening that there were missing cups and glasses for drinks..
The big mínus was, that local guests were prioritize from foreign guests. It is not really good when you wait for the food with another people and when local guest come, they are all served as first.
Italian restaurant was excellent, we visited for dinner and lunch and everything was absolutely good 💯 special thanks to waiter who served us.
Beach bar bartender was very friendly also.
Animation team with sellers on the beach and around the pool is special chapter.
Everyday we got asked around 10 times for the same offers of extra services (such a spa, salon, fish pedicure, etc., etc.). Please, when i say no, it means no 😀
Animation team was made of local staff and polish (and Ukraine) girls.. This girls be more friendly and do their job (they were looking bored of what they do)..
Camel named Mickey Mouse was nice and supercute 😁
In the pharmacy we needed to buy some Antinal and Streptoquin and price was much higher than standard price (15€ for both)..
In fact, it was my 4th holiday in Marsa Alam and unfortunately after all I have to say, that there are better hotels to visit.
Thank You

We have been coming to Egypt for 20 years and have never disappointed in hotels outside of this Novotel. We choose a hotel with a heated swimming pool in December or January, unfortunately there was a problem here, the water was either cold or a little wart and the interventions at the reception improved for a while (a few hours). In addition, you can see that they are saving (after all, it's the French Accor group, so there is nothing to expect) - a problem in the rooms with hot water, first it was not there at all, then after the brawl, it was but after 22:00 until the morning there is cold water.
Rooms cleaned poorly, but it's hardly surprising if a guy has the whole building to service, he won't have enough strength (they save money on staff). You can see further savings, be it in the garden or in technology (non-stop broken elevators, work for a while, not anymore) - comparing to Jaz Lamaya or Hilton Nubian, which we have visited in previous years, you can see the difference to the detriment of Novotel.
Meals and drinks were normal, the dining room was worse, the outside terrace was not covered so it was windy (it was enough to put on a 5m foil and it would be great.
The Christmas Eve dinner was also a failure. We never had to pay extra for it because it was included in the price in previous hotels, then it suddenly turned out that you have to pay extra. It is not about the surcharge but the mere fact of surprising guests, it is not fair.
The animators who were nice and helpful, who improved the mood in this neglected place were a big plus. Anyway, all the hotel staff were nice and tried hard what they could do when the decisions are up to the management.
It is definitely not a 5 * hotel, at most 3.5 *. We will not come here for the second time and we will not recommend it to anyone we know.

We consider our week-long stay at this hotel to be a success, but there were a few imperfections and shortcomings that resulted in us giving it a maximum of 4 stars; it certainly does not deserve 5. The food was average, pancakes and waffles for breakfast, even if they were fresh, were still cold. For breakfast, the only option was omelettes or fried eggs, for which there was a long queue. Lunches and dinners are edible but very monotonous, the same rice or pasta and grilled meat cutlets or fish. In the evening there was a different type of buffet every day, but everything was very similar, the only difference was the Egyptian-style dinner. The snacks at the papyrus bar are simply breakfast rolls with cheese inside. It was the first time we encountered such a poor offer of snacks, which meant that the dinner load was always huge. Additionally, there are no drinks in the dining room during lunch and dinner, so you had to ask several times to get a coke or other drink from the waiter. Also the food was absolutely amazing, after a week I almost wanted to eat something.
The rooms are clean, but the bathrooms need a little refreshing, for example the wall in the corner next to the trash can is all dirty black.
Water is delivered to the room every day, the mini bar with coffee and tea is replenished, and towels are changed.
There was no problem with space at the pool or on the beach, especially at the adults-only pool and at the dining room. The main swimming pool with a swim-up bar has been crowded since early morning.
The drinks are good, cola drinks are poured from original bottles, beer straight from the bottle is a big plus. The bartenders were smiling and helpful, as was the entire hotel staff. They are not pushy and do not just wait for a dollar, which sometimes happens in this country. The beach is wide and long, relatively sandy, with only pebbles here and there. There is no entrance to the water directly from the shore, but halfway down the pier there is a descent to a place where there is no reef and you can swim. The reef is beautiful, there are lots of fish and other creatures, but you have to be careful when climbing the ladders because you can get hurt. The lifeguard is on constant watch and does not allow you to stray too far from the pier.
Overall, the hotel was okay, but the food could have been more varied, and the sunbeds and umbrellas could have been replaced with newer ones because some of them were broken or so old that you couldn't lie on them. We wouldn't go there again, but if someone doesn't mind limited food, they'll definitely find it 😊
