Just amazing place to stay!!! Very clean rooms, tasty coffee and breakfast, also very cheap for that kind of service!! Perfect location for tourists, because that hotel in the middle of town! Love it!
We stayed in this hotel for around 4 days during last summer , I am very satisfied with the Staff service and rooms , also there's a big parking outside the Hotel were we can put our car . The hotel is near many tourists attractions . If you are in Sigulda you must give a try to this Hotel .
No plans were made before hand so it was a stab in the dark when I picked this hotel. The room and bathroom were clean but the general feeling was not pleasing. The front desk was a bleak dark area with just one person who also had the task of leading people to their room upstairs & providing towels & bed linen when requested. The stairs did not have a hand rail as you struggled up them with heavy luggage. The hallways were dark and the rooms not sound proofed for a barking dog and energetic children. Next time I'll check Tripadvisor before I stop.
We stayed in a family room of Hotel Kaupo for just one night but nevertheless I would recommend it. Really spacious and calm place to have your good night rest before discovering the surrounding areas. In family room there is one really big double bed and two twins. The room is spacious, roof windows are opening. Room is equipped with basically everything you would need for a short stay. It has a hairtryer, iron etc. At first we had a plan to find a place to have a dinner somewhere in Sigulda center. But since we were kinda unprepared, didn't find a place to go and after a nice walk until the train station, decided to give it a try at the hotel's restaurant. It turned out to be a very good decision. Food was delicious and service very nice. Also you have a possibility when do you want your breaky to be served. At 8am, 9am or 10. For the breakfast we could choose between porridge, pancakes or omlette. Our choise was an omelette. It was cooked to order with pleanty of cheese inside, tomato and beet root leafs as a side salad, served with coffee and a fruit selection on strawberries and apples. And the most important! Small buns with herbs. It seemed like the buns were baked fresh on the spot as well. The onlt fault to find would be a pillow that was too soft for my liking but this is really not an issue :) …
The hotel is a lovely place to stay and the rooms are fitted with a fridge, kettle and television. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is great with only a 20 minute walk to the centre of town or a 5 minute walk to a nearby shopping complex.
