We spent a long weekend in Riga in June 2008. Based on the previous reviews and the acceptable price we chose to stay at the Garden Palace Hotel and were not disappointed. Riga turned out be be a beautiful and atmospheric town and we enjoyed our stay there very much. The Garden Palace is located centrally in Old Town and...

We had a lovely time here. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the old town. Very clean hotel with lots of charm. The staff were all helpful, even though their english was not the best! Very good value.

This hotel is ok, it has a certain charm about it, but nothing overwhelming. We had an odd shaped, long narrow room, bathroom was a decent size. There was nothing wrong with the hotel but nothing great either. Breakfast was average. Good location. If you can get a good price then i would stay here.

We loved our stay in this quaint hotel conveniently located in the heart of the Old City. It was quiet and cozy even though there was a convention and some rowdy travellers. The bathrooms were clean and up to date, recently renovated.

Nice hotel, bit bland from the outside but nice on the inside. It does have an old world charm. Our room was small but ok. Breakfast mediocre. Make sure you turn the porn off before your 12 year old goes looking for disney channel!! It is centrally placed for the "old Town" Now if this is what you are going...

Just back from a 3 day break in Riga. We stayed at the Garden palace hotel and have to say that it was great hotel. Breakfast was pretty decent and the mini bar was extremely good value. Riga itself is very pretty city and perfect is you love to walk. All in all a great weekend.

I've just returned from a 3 night stay in Riga with a group of 14 friends (yes, a stag do) and the overwhelming consensus was that the Garden Palace was a really nice hotel and great value. We're all in our mid-30's so are not the stereotypical loutish stag group which has given Brits such a poor reputation in Riga,...

This turned out be an excellent choice - a manageable size, centrally located in the old town, right price, helpful staff, good breakfast and pleasant surroundings. We stayed for two nights and I don't think I'd bother looking for alternative accommodation if I go back to Riga and I certainly hope to do that.

Stayed in the main hotel not the courtyard rooms. Both rooms were well appointed, clean & breakfast was good. Paid £40.00 per night. The hotel is perfectly placed (behind Balckheads House), to explore the old Town on foot. The bar is not owned by the hotel and was expensive compared to other establishmennts in RIga. Would definately use this hotel...

Stayed at the Hotel Garden Palace between 14 and 18 Jan 2008 having booked through laterooms.com Hotel was advertised as 4* and I would say it is about accurate. We arrived at the hotel fairly late on as our flight did not land until 10pm. I had emailed ahead to let them know we would be late arrivals and had...
