Nice hotel with good location. Close to a lot of attractions. Nice and helpful staff, clean rooms and good wifi. Minibar at the room. Good selection at breakfast. It could have been better soaps in the bathroom.

The location of the hotel is simply ideal, in the epicenter of the historic city. The lobby and courtyard are well maintained and decorated nicely, but our room looked neglected. It was large, with massive ceilings, but the carpet was worn through and stained, the wall paper was scratched and the furniture was old and a bit bockety. However, it... More

Hotel is not 4 star, but 3 star, it needs some improvement work to the whole hotel. Staff need to smile more, breakfast was good. Room needs work, carpets filthy, broken wardrobe door catch, soap dispenser tray cracked in bathroom, poorly located shower does not work properly, scrubby looking walls, no Tea or Coffee facilities . Good location, if you... More

I got surprised by the room they offered me. Outdated, smelly and a carpet the must have survived WW2. By seeing another room 'guided' by security-staff that had not used deodorant since the wall came down it even got worse. The pictures from the hotel are from a couple of renovated rooms, maybe 10% of the hotel. Breakfast is always... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in beginning of August. We arrived quite early, reception staff were nice and took our luggage and told us that the check in is from 2pm and that is when the room will be ready. Reception area looked very extravagant as almost there were too many elements for a small space... More

This hotel cost €70 per night including breakfast, the cheapest of my 9 country holiday - while it wasn't the best I kept reminding myself of the price. The hotel is right behind House of Blackheads and is close to everything but far away enough from the noise of all the bars. A buffet breakfast is available and is fairly... More

Hi, i'm writing this review on behalf of my parents that stayed there this week. Rooms - the rooms are very lacking any facility or amenities that make a 4* hotel. No mini bar / fridge in the room, the pillows were very uncomfortable, the curtains didn't have shades to darken the room. This is not a 4* hotel. The... More

Very good location, close to riverside (good for running) and city center. Hotel has very nice and authentic rooms, bathroom was small but clean. Tv and wifi available, wifi was a bit slow. Breakfast was good and lots of variation. The hotel has a shisha bar and normal bar as well, although there were never people sitting there. Nice patio... More

Situated right in the heart of the Riga old town this is a pleasant hotel. Rooms are clean and well equipped and of a decent size. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Friendly helpful staff with a courtyard garden restaurant just outside the front door.

+ the central location of the hotel. Meters from the Daugava river and 5-10min walk to the Old Town. + the character of the hotel and the decoration - average staff - outdated rooms - average breakfast - tiny pillows on the beds - poor cleaning service
