Riga is a buzzing place especially as Summer grows and the Old Town is full of life, music, conversation until the midnight hour. Kolonna is in the heart of the Old Town, looks small from outside but has 4 floors of rooms. So : easy ascess to many places, and a good rest place. Rooms are good size, a little... More

The rooms were okay, we had buffet breakfast included which was alright as well, and we were treated correctly by all of its staff. Its location is the beat part of it, it allows you to walk directly into the city centre, but nights are usually quiet and you can sleep well. Overall a very recommendable hotel if on a... More

Pros: Good rooms with all amenities, excellent location in the heart of Old Riga, walking distance to all touristic spots, plenty of restaurants nearby, close distance to the train station and buses, good buffet breakfast, attentive and helpful staff. Overall very good stay. Cons: No light blocking curtains which make the room very light very early morning in the summer.... More

A clean hotel with friendly staff. But it also happens to be in a prime location in the Old Town of Riga, and, did I mention, VERY inexpensive, relatively speaking? So, for those who want a more luxurious hotel, there are plenty within a block or two - costing four or five times as much. Me, I'd rather travel for... More

Location is excellent. In the centre of the city. Close to everything. Rooms were very bright, good size and comfortable. Bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast buffet has a good selection. Only thing buffet was lined up in the hall and it was crowded. Since it is in downtown there was street noise till in the morning. There was issue... More

You can't find a place better located that this hotel in the Old Town in Riga. Located at the heart of the town, but it has also some cons: for example it is very noisy, especially the rooms with the windows exposed to the main street. The staff could also be more friendly. The room was ok, clean and basic... More

We stayed for two nights. The location is excellent. The room was very basic, but OK for a 3 star. Everything worked and was clean. The free WiFi worked well at times when there weren't many people in the hotel. Late afternoon and evenings it was almost non existent. The breakfast was very basic but OK. Not anything to get... This hotel is lacking in cleanliness and just overall comfort. Although, it seems quiet from the street it is loud in the rooms. Maybe a bar around the corner. Loud meaning constant music as if you are on the dance floor until 3am. The sheets on the bed were dirty with sand that you could feel all over one side... More

Apart from the exquisite location there are no more assets to this hotel. Terrible beds, matrasses were dead-hard our shoulders hurt. Lots of noice (We normally hardly complain about this but now it really disturbed us, crazy birds kept making noise all night long). The bathroom had a bad smell... Drain-issue And on top of that there was a very... More

This hotel has a lot of great reviews and so I was excited to stay here. Unfortunately it is located adjacent to an open air bar and live music venue. On weekends, get ready for a very loud stay. Music, drunk UK stag partiers and to the ambiance of the Kolonia. Also, the rooms get very warm in summer and... More
