This is a lovely hotel. Friendly staff, cozy rooms. Breakfast could be better, but that's all I have to "complain" about . But it's not really a complaint. Just add some more bread and maybe some fruit.

It's a lovely hotel in the heart of Riga, small but very cosy. The staff was very nice, the rooms were clean and the location was perfect. We loved it!

The hotel is perfectly located in old town with many nice restaurants and shops closeby. We had two rooms at ground floor level which were perfect! One was very big, the other normal size, both clean. We had breakfast at the little patio in front of the rooms outside, beautful. Most special about this hotel is the super friendly staff,...

A truly wonderful hotel, in the heart of old Riga, but in a lovely quet street. Very nice and helpful staff, great service, the rooms are nice and there’s a quiet internal court yard to hide away from the hustle of the city. They also have a fab restaurant, with locally sourced food - and deserts are heavenly. All in...

As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the hotel reception staff were excellent. Our room was on the top floor, and was absolutely fine for our needs, fairly basic, but spotlessly clean and with a good shower. We had stayed in the Hotel Centra a couple of nights previously, and if going back I'd probably choose Vecriga, mainly for being in...

Stayed mid June 2005. Small hotel with excellent reception staff, always ready to help with advice. Rooms are pretty basic but excellent value for money. Located on the edge of the old town it is ideally located for both the old town and the more modern shops in the newer part of Riga. The Dalai Lama stayed here so it...

OK rooms, but nothing special & a bit on the expensive side. Good location. Most staff friendly & helpful, if not cheerful. Last day receptionists arranged for her taxidriver boyfriend to pick us up, claiming the official (metered) cars could not be booked by phone..A bit weak, but we were in a hurry...He then tried to fleece us (3x the...

Just visited Riga for a few days in early June 2005. Stayed at the Vecriga which is a sweet little hotel (only 10 double rooms!) conveniently located in the Old Town. The building dates back to the end of the 13th century, but it has been renovated in the last few years. Breakfast is a little samey by day 4,...
