Hotel Relais le Chevalier is like a piece of France in the very heart of the Old Town of Riga. Our hotel is located in one of the most famous buildings of Old Riga. According to the legend, the horseshoe which can be seen today on the facade of the building belonged to the horse of the tsar Peter the Great when he was passing by in the 18-th century. That’s where the name “Le Chevalier” comes from. The Italian designers from Terzomillenium studio have managed to convert the inner courtyard of the old building into an astonishing, full of lights and mirrors atrium of the hotel. We offer you 23 rooms, each made in individual style with some of them overlooking the atrium, free high-speed internet, round-the-clock reception, free breakfast which is said to be the best in Riga on the sixth floor of the building, from where all the towers and spires of the Old Town can be seen, in-house boutique Le Chevalier by Akcenty, a unique Calvados Bar and many other attractions to be discovered.

The very best location in Riga - close to every attraction, walking distance to parking. Modern architecture inside - comfortable rooms with good working clima, great bed, nice and well equipped bathroom - a shure hotel to come back.

Location is excellent and hotel is nicely decorated but no more reasons to stay here. Even Superior room is without a window. It's not said on hotel booking site I used. In the hotel they insisted there is. Literally you can call it a window but it's white, not transparent and towards staircase. I felt it very distressing. After long waiting receptionist let us to change the room but she gave us the noisiest room they have. There is a night club next door and music is very loud. Hotel was almost empty and she decided to give a room on 1st floor and closest to noise. One reason to book this property was recommended breakfast. On booking site there was no mention it's limited. Service was super slow, variety just some dishes. It was a surprise when we came back after a long day in the city: our room door was open. The room was cleaned after we left it. Fortunately nothing has disappeared.

Response from Jevgenijs Nahmans, General Manager at Relais le Chevalier

Dear Annika, I would like to thank you first and foremost for choosing Le Chevalier for your stay and your constructive feedback. I regret that our explanation of room views was not clearly enough communicated, although we even explained what is the inner hotel space. We do hope that you enjoyed a free upgrade to our Deluxe room and hope this removed some tension brought by missed expectations. Indeed our street view rooms are a bit noisier, however we are located in the heart of bustling city life. In regards to the incident, we do bring our sincere apologies. We did make an additional training. Safety and security of our guests is of utmost priority and this incident is absolutely not acceptable, though this issue happened due to a human factor. We do hope you will give us another chance and we will be able to welcome you back at Le Chevalier. Sincerely yours, Evgeniy General Manager

Relais le Chevalier is very close to anything one wants to see in Riga: old town, shopping, opera. Rooms are quite small but very nicely decorated. Great breakfast with friendly and impeccable service.

Apart from being a beauty in itself this little hotel in the very heart of Riga is both historical and stylish, clean, fresh, and people working there are really friendly and helpful. It might be a little noisy at nights on the street as night clubs and bars are at your doorstep (which I actually see as an advantage) but we slept well.

we stayed in the room pictured and was fine but all the floors are wood through out the hotel , so noise transference is quite bad at night. the bar and restaurant was closed for refurbishment which we were not made aware of at the time of booking and we wouldn't have booked this hotel if we knew.the location is excellent. the breakfast was a bit limited but ok and the staff at breakfast were good as were all the staff through out our stay were very helpful .

Dear Mr. Woodward, I would like to thank you very much for staying with us and your comment. I regret that you could not enjoy the hotel to a full due to our bar closure. We wanted to make it more comfortable and have finished the renovation. So now we can welcome our guests in a more cozy and comfortable bar. We hope that you will give us another chance and will come to enjoy the city and our hotel with a new bar. Sincerely yours, Evgeniy General Manager
