First of all the rooms are dark, small and kinda smelly, the breakfast was crowded even tho we had to book a 30min window for breakfast. The real problem was the reception who lost my laundry at first and I spent whole morning going up and down asking where it was even tho I left it to them for 3 days. And they would tell come back later come back later. Right before my check out I got thankfully got it back. Later on when checking out they asked me to pay money for late check out. The problem is my room was paid for until 31st, and I checked out on 27th. How is that late check out?? I asked them to charge the company and they agreed. Later they asked me to pay for laundry which is again is supposed to be charged on the company but they refused. I had to call my employer so they can contact other company which pays for the room, to contact the hotel and confirm that they pay. The company contacted them and informed that they pay. The receptionist hung up the phone and asked me to contact the company and ask for email approval because phone approval was not enough. SHE WAS ON THE PHONE A SECOND AGO AND DIDNT CONSIDER TO ASK THEM HERSELF. I told her that I have no contact with the company and cannot talk to them, but the hotel has an agreement with the company so she is much more competent to contact them. Then again my employer called her and agreed to check me out without payment approval so I can have my flight and the approval will come in 10minutes. She only agreed to do it after getting my credit card information. The lady insisted on me paying for the laundry and bringing receipt to the company, so I can get reimbursed. I told her at least five times that it’s not how it works in my company. All in all absolutely terrible communication on behalf of the hotel, zero problem solving skills and no willingness to listen to what I say. Hopefully never again.…
I arrived almost an hour early to drop my things to baggage room, only to find out my room was ready! The hotel is housed in a late 1800s building, that seems to be built in many stages, since there are differences in levels at different wings, but this only adds personality. The double room I stayed in was well cleaned and modern, with classic furnishings. To my surprise I had a bath AND a shower. View was to opposite wing of the hotel, which I didn't mind since it would filter out any noise that would come from the street. The air conditioner was a lovely thing to have, since windows were towards east, and the room was at the southeast corner with sunny weather warming up the room most of the day. I felt very welcomed from the very first moment, and I'd certainly visit again.
Housed in an old building, so full of character but with modern amenities. Exceptional service at reception.. let down by the breakfast. 4 star hotel with a 2 star breakfast. This is real Riga, check out the the local bars and restaurants.
This hotel was just lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are restaurated with quality and respecting the original. We enjoyed this hotel very much. Every place is clean. The hotel is situated well. Everything is close but still quiet. Restaurant are close by and there are huge amount of them To choose. And of course if you love shopping, you surely are In a walking distance. We truly recommend this hotel.
Especially suitable for families, good location, staff friendly and helpful, Parking could be better solved, the car park is a bit far away, but guarded for that. Overall we were very satisfied, we will definitely visit the hotel again.
The service was perfect, the room was amazing and the location was really nice and quiet. Everything was just perfect, very family friendly and comfortable. Very close to the city with helpful staff always ready to help. Perfect family hotel!
the room was not what was promised. beds narrow, hard and worn out. could not sleep in bed. the room was cold. a friend again has better beds and a room all the comforts. Difference between our room and friend room was huge. Poor to good. I wouldn't go again.
Firstly, i will say that the Hotel location is very good, about 15 minutes by foot to Riga Old town. The breakfast was really nice and very tasty coffee, the only downside was the Hotel internet WiFi, it was very very bad.
Nice and pleasant set back from the Riga centre only a 10 minute walk. The staff are courteous and attentive. Very warm and helpful I did complain about my breakfast being a vegetarian and got a bottle of champagne and chocolates for my troubles and breakfast next day was spot on. I would recommend this hotel.
Arrived very late, after 1,100km drive. Receptionist was helpful and happy, the night security guy personally showed me where to find the secure parking. We also had our dog with us, this was not problem either. The Hotel is very good, much better than advertised, good place to stop over, breakfast was okay too...
