This was a really lovely hotel: the staff was extremely nice and shared a lot of tips and recommendations for us. We heard each room is different so we are tempted to come again and see more of them. Our room was spacious, clean with great atmosphere. The breakfast was also really good!

The Art Hotel Roma was built in 1881 and has been a hotel since 1882. During WWI it was occupied by the Kaiser’s army. The entire structure is built around a large central square with a much-photographed fountain, and also is home to the hotel’s restaurant, Rosemary, plus a renowned bakery, breakfast room, art gallery, retail shops and businesses. There was art all over the place, in the room, in the halls…It was quiet, and the staff was friendly. There is a mall across the square so you can grab drinks to stock up your room, an ice cream cone, whatever you need. On Saturday mornings the square has a big farmers market/art fair. You can walk a few blocks to several restaurants and shops. The neighborhood has some abandoned buildings and graffiti, but it is very safe, and that seems to be true of most of Latvia. I reserved the “Studio” for 90 Euros because it had a kitchenette with a refrigerator. It was HUGE! But you can get a room for as little as 60 E. Latvia is a very reasonable place to vacation. We sat down for dinner at Rosemary, on the first night, but the jet lag was hitting me hard and I just went upstairs and crashed. Reports were that the food was excellent. We had breakfast included, The Art Hotel has its own bakery, so the bread was crusty and the croissants were light as air. They had the European breakfast sausages that remind me of hot dogs, English bacon, and a variety of egg dishes. Like most places they had cold cuts, meusli and yogurt. Loved the take-away breakfast, its quality and variety within pandemic conditions. Staff exceeded our expectations by providing requested flowers and earlier breakfast than usual upon request. The art gallery brings the hotel to a whole new level of five-star hotels in Liepaja, Latvia. The ROMA bakery (and hence the breakfast goodies) were absolutely marvelous - excellent quality pastries, cakes and pies - highly recommended. Very spacious rooms because of the high ceilings, as the building was constructed back in the 19th century.

At first, the receptionist greetes us with a big smile on her face! And the design here - beautiful! The room itself and the bathroom 😍 everything was superlcean, they are using Madara Cosmetics shampoos, losions etc. The bed was really comfortable and we were really happy with our stay!

Extremely clearn, beautiful and very big room, perfect towels, comfortable beds, delicious fresh breakfast, kindest staff, very good location, hotel in historical building, full of art, very convenient parking. Everything absolutely perfect. Definelely I come to this hotel again and again.

Nice hotel in which to stay. We had room # 301, which was on the attic floor, but the elevator is only up to the second floor. If you have heavy luggage, it will have to be carried up by the stairs. Rooms have air conditioner, small kitchen facility.

Definitely not your typical hotel. It’s more like an art museum with bedrooms. If you’re up for staying in a place that is visually different but yet clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable, then you won’t be disappointed with Art Roma. The breakfast is in a delightful restaurant within the interior courtyard of the hotel complex. I’ve had some breakfast in other hotels since COVID and have been really disappointed with the offerings. Breakfast here is table service and selections are made from a menu list that has more than enough choices in my book. Definitely top notch and adds to the experience.

I was amazed! Great hotel, very nice design. There are art gallery in hallways! We stayed in Junior Suite room! Very spacious room, ceiling height was ca 4 m! Very spacious wardrobe with safe deposit box. Nice and large bathroom with heated floor and large window! We will definitely will come back!

Recently opened hotel in central part of Liepaja is up to date in my view best in city. I went there already twice this year. It's comfortable, well located, with big rooms, nicely decorated with artwork. Hotel building is renovated historical XIX century hotel. If you have a car they provide you with parking lot, free of charge. We had excellent cold breakfast included in joint cafe. And price is bargain.
