Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Hotel Jurmala Spa receives accolades for its cleanliness and prime location, with many guests appreciating the tidy accommodations and proximity to the beach and local attractions. The spa amenities are a highlight, offering a variety of relaxing options, though some visitors mention overcrowding. While the service is generally regarded as friendly, instances of unresponsiveness have been noted.
Guests have mixed feelings about the value, citing reasonable room rates but sometimes overpriced meals. The atmosphere and rooms, despite some enjoying recent renovations, often draw criticism for dated decor and lack of modern touches.

Detailed Reviews
Have just come back from two days trip to Jurmala where hosts organize a bridge tournament every year at about the same time. First time in Hotel Jurmala Spa. Like I indicated, overall impression is definitely good. There are minor details that could be improved for the best benefit of hotel guests.
In the morning our team of four visitors used to go to their Spa centre which is definitely excellent. However, it was not possible to get drinking water because water container stood safely at a pool bar which is simply closed at that time (or even closed at every time, who knows?)
Secondly, any visitor should know basic facilities every hotel provides for their clients. They say there is an instruction on every service if one only switches TV and follows the instructions. In real life, this was not possible. You even do not know how to call another room via room phone. The selection of TV channels is not sufficient. No BBC, Euronews and some other popular destinations.
Breakfast in the morning is very good, no complains about it. Service is fine, staff is polite and helpful. If nothing serious happens, we would come back at the same time next year. Recommended.

All in all saying average would maybe be insulting, because it was a nice spa, nice elevator views, nice views, nice dinner, nice staff, but rooms and breakfast need a little catching up
The first disappointing factor was the breakfast, how it's food quality was and how it was served even though we have strict rules about COVID19, e.g. everybody using same spoons to take things from buffee. As a comparison, we bought a dinner with our booking and dinner was super nice with good indigence and great atmosphere.
Second, the hotel was nice and clean, but deluxe rooms bathrooms need refreshing.
Location was okay for walking tourists, they had free parking for the car, but getting to and leaving the hotel was quite difficult without a GPS, that we thankfully had in the phone.
Value was good, e.g. dinner, but breakfast was average and rooms were large, but average.
Sleep quality was bad for me and my wife, maybe the mattress, maybe the pillows, in Baltic Beach I can choose for free between 7 different pillows.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
We stayed here the 2nd time, liked it then, even better now. It was more crowded this time but that caused no issues in the pool area, we fully enjoyed all the pools and saunas. Nice staff, clean, good breakfast. The massagist Andrejs gave me the most relaxing and attentive massage, it costed only 45€ for an hour. And walks along the seaside are just wonerful. Will come again. :)

good SPA and restaurant but totally unacceptable service especially at the reception. It does not stand any critics. It caused us great problems, we ordered services and were asked to prepay but, unfortunately, we have not received it. The place to avoid to stay if looking for a good service.

Dear oleksii-paris-777, Thank you for visiting and for sharing your feedback with us! It is nice to hear that you liked our spa centre and restaurant, however we are absolutely disappointed that you were not happy with the service you received. This is definitely not the level of service we normally like to offer and please accept our sincere apologies. We truly believe that most important thing in hospitality is the customer service and we'll do our best to improve our skills. Thank you again for your review and we still hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Jurmala!

Checking in can take 1,5 hours!! Very poorly organised! You need to queue 1-3 times. First to check in, but they do not give you room key yet. When room is ready and cleaned, you have to queue half hour again! They can activate your room key only online, not in advance, like in all hotels in Finland.
This makes all customers very angry and gives bad feelings all the customer families.
If they had reponsibility, it could be organised easily new way. Really!
Only little logistic intelligence needed, and emphaty!!! Soviet tradition to think things.
Customers should never queue. Did you know that, dear hotel administration???
All other things was very well!!
Thank you for that!!!

Thank you for visiting and for taking time to leave us your feedback! It is wonderful to hear you overall enjoyed your stay with us. However, it is disappointing to hear about the issues you had to experience regarding the queue at the reception. Please accept apologies on behalf of our whole team. This is definitely not he level of cleanliness we aim to offer. We will discuss these issues within our executive management team and will make sure that anything like this will not be happening ever again!

Hotel looks very nice and clean, even standard rooms are quite spacious, superior was big enough to fit 2 adults and 2 children without problems. Our room happened to be a little cold, we turned the heating on 27 degrees and it still wasn´t enought to heat the room- maybe because it was windy that day (the floors were especially cold, made sleeping difficult.
Spa area is very clean and it is easy to keep an eye on children playing in the kids area. From 17-18 it got really growded, so better to go there either late in the evening or in the morning. Because of many peole visiting the saunas, the thermometer probably never met the 100 degrees, so no swet there :D. Alltogether, good value for the money!

Breakfast was very good, except coffee. Dinner at the buffet restaurant was like a 2-3 star hotels dinner. Wellness and oasis centre was good, but to crowded for COVID time. Please, do not allow the people self-service during the dinner and breakfast at the buffet tables!!! It’s unexceptable!!!

The spa and massage were amazing. The room is small, the walls are made of cardboard. There was a very noisy group of young people living upstairs who didn't let me sleep until 2am. Also the air conditioner is very noisy and disturbs my sleep and if you turn it off, the room gets unbearably hot.

Everything was very good. It is not clear why it is not possible to make a reservation on a Saturday or Sunday for the same day. If the reservation by e-mail is made on a Saturday evening, the answer is received within 24 hours. Cannot call reception on weekends. Poor communication on weekends.

Hotel needs a renovation! Rooms are too "tired". Restaurant is not recommended. Breakfast could be ok for two star hotel. SPA is good, but if you wish any procedures like massage you need to leave sauna and swimingpool zone and go through the whole hotel, use the elevator etc. You are dressed in a bathrobe and hotel guests who are going to the restaurant looking at you like at the monkey. Not the best feeling.

Hallo, if one person leaves early it will not be more expensive, but you won’t get a refund from the hotel either.

Hi, no problem to arrive late in this hotel.
Бросайте курить и перестанете париться этим вопросом в спа отелях 😉
