We have visited Villa Ksenija occasionally: went thru Customs from Belarus and it was night. We used always to stay in city centre, but all was fully booked and we randomly decided to stay at Villa Ksenija. I must immediately highlight the Breakfast. You feel Yourself like a royalty: all was so tasty and visually as the artwork. The surroundings are very beautiful and you can even enjoy yourself in the garden. Room clean and all toiletry included in the price. Nice and very welcoming staff. Will go there fur sure again and recommend to friends and business partners!
A very nice building with big , comfortable , modern rooms. Room 2 has a private sauna and jacuzzi. The restaurant is amazing with wide choice of dishes. Very quiet neighborhood , 10 minutes drive from downtown. Extremely friendly service. You feel at home !
An extremely enjoyable stay at Villa Ksenija. This small hotel offers a suberb breakfast in addition to comfortable and quality accommodation. Having previously stayed elsewhere in Daugavapils I would now not hestitate to book Villa Ksenija for future visits. A little further from the city centre and university than other hotels, but worth it for the quality of rooms, food and ambience.
I think this is the best place to stay in Daugavpils, especially, if you enjoy plenty of great food. The hotel rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. The food is great. Maybe the cusine is closer to Russian and lovers of English or French breakfast would not be happy, but selection is great and breakfast is hearty. There is private parking within the closed yard and the hotel is surrounded by nice garden, which is very well kept. Maybe furniture and bathroom sanitary is a little bit worn down, but still functioning.
Helpful and pleasant receptionist. Entire hotel's beautiful, cozy and clean. Car parking for 4 car only. The area where the hotel is located is not entirely attractive. The biggest problem - the noise of passing cars outside the window. If the windows closed, it's alright. Room well built and comfortable. Lovers of glad to watch TV - TV shows more than 60 programs :-) True, many of them in Russian language :-( And - most gladdened me - breakfast - they really worth by this hotel. It is - just perfect. Dinner was also excellent, though not cheap. If You want calm in this hotel need to arrive mid-week. On weekends there are often organized celebrations, so not a lot of calm. Wi-Fi is good.
We had a family event and a business lunch within a couple of days in the hotel restaurant in September. Our friends advised that this place has the best kitchen in town. It is true - food is delicious and presentation is amazing. The restaurant manager is not friendly at all, and sometimes even rude. She said that this place is very expensive and not for us. How did she decide it I haven't realized until now? She wasn't helpful with our requests and needs. She treats customers as a peasants or second-class citizens. Waiter was unprofessional and rude. When I have politely pointed out that the alcohol cocktail is not quite what I expected the response was - "It is your problem. This is a restaurant but not a bar". After short conversation with our friends we decided to stay and see what happens after. On the stage of ordering food kitchen staff advised the waiter what they still have. Their conversation took place through the open kitchen door. There are a lot of places in Daugavpils with may be not so fancy food, but with much-much-much better service and selection of food.…
On my first visit to Daugavpils with business associates, we booked 4 single rooms at Vila Ksenija (pronounced Xen-i-ja, with the accent on the first syllable). The Villa is located on a non-descript street 2 blocks off one of the main entrance roads, away from the city center. Each room, although different, is nicely furnished and very clean. Bathrooms have tubs, showers or combinations - I got one with a tub and spray attachment. Sheets and towels were white and fluffy and some toiletries were provided. The controllable air conditioner was very welcome as the temperature reached into the upper 20s. The surrounding garden is very nice, although as we sat outside we could hear the apples drop to the ground. The food is excellent, although the service a bit slow (there is usually only one server on each meal), you should be willing to wait. With Villa Ksenija's significant wine collection, order a bottle and relax. For dinner, members of our group had excellent cheese, mushroom and shrimp blinis as starters, followed by main courses of venison, shrimp, "catch of the day" which was dorado, salmon tartar with latkes. The Villa also boasts a wide range of whiskeys and cognacs for post meal libations. We enjoyed two meals outside in the garden but note that there is little light after the sun sets - we all had the flashlight apps on our phones on while we finished the last bottle of wine!…
Well just being honest. Visited this place several times. Interior look are fantastic feel really nice but service are really poor. I went there with my partner and best friend for lunch. Poor luck of service felt straight away. Girl was too busy doing nothing and didn't pay to us much attention although we were only customers at that time. Main course was nice we had chicken and salmon for desert we ordered the specialities Alaska desert which was brilliant and sorbet there came a big disappointment it tasted as frozen ice. I made a complain to the writer but she wasn't interested and we have been charged full price. I will think twice if I want to go there again.
Very beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. No lift or help with bags and the hardest pillows I have ever slept on. Very slow restaurant service but the food is excellent. You would need a car to get here Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. No lift or help with bags though, and the hardest pillows I have ever slept on.Service in the restaurant is very slow but food is excellent.
