It is the worst hotel I've ever seen. Everything is dirty. First floor is basically like a basement with no windows. There is a big hole in the bathroom and holes in the walls. Towels and glasses are dirty with stains. And also pillow smells like cigarettes. Breakfast - cold panckakes with sour cream and honey witch smells really bad. Some tea and old bread slices with cheese and salami.
Came here with friends so because of the fun company we didn't care much as long as shower facilities were ok but generally it was pretty ill-kempt and reminds of a cheap dorm (we also consistently kept getting stuck in the bathroom). It would be suitable for travelling students but there are other options for the same price.
Nice staff, however really dirty rooms, quite a few aspects of the room were worn out/broken and not the best breakfast. There was a hole in the bathroom floor and condition of bathroom in general was poor and small bugs crawling around as well. Wouldn't suggest to stay here. Pool out in the back looked amazing, and had an interesting atmosphere in the car park with enough room for a small van. Not for the weak and precious. A real mans establishment. Drinking is advised.
The name Paradize is a joke! It's dirty, smells terrible and is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My 5 night stay was changed to one night.Room had food under the bed and the sheets and towels were filthy. The bathroom had a large hole on the floor right in front of the shower. Decent breakfast. Nothing else positive to say. We found a beautiful hotel in the town center for less money.
Don't stay here; there are much better choices. This is probably the worse hotel(?) room I've ever stayed in ever. It's poorly constructed; very old; and not very well kept. Some in our group complained of bug bites. The one plus was the home cooked breakfast by the two ladies in the kitchen. They allowed us to watch them prepare our breakfast crepes with seasoned pork. Delicious! They also served sliced tomatoes with summer sausage on bread slices. These was the white cheese with bread also. Coffee was very acceptable to your order.
We stayed in the hotel for one night in January 2013, two double rooms with two presons in each. The man at the reception opened the door quickly, despite it was almost 3 a.m., and suggested we should leave our car in the hotel's internal "parking" for free. The parking was obviously freely-accessible from the street since there seemed to be no gates, but the car was at least hidden from the public view. However, on paying cash for our stay, he did not give us any receipt, which still seemed ok for us. The room impressed us very negatively. The bed was narrow and old, let alone the fact that pillows and covers were so dirty, with what looked as dried oil stains, that we were frightened to sleep on them and had to first cover the bed with our clothes to feel more or less comfortable. The breakfast was quite nice, with two slices of bread, butter, satisfactorily made scrambled eggs and tea/coffee. By the way, free and fast wi-fi internet was available. To be honest, our two friends, who stayed in the other double room, had clean beds and towels and were overall satisfied with the stay. To sum up, two of four of us had negative experience staying there, so I would recommend to look for other place to stay in Daugavpils, especially if the planned duration is more than one night. If you still happen to stay in Paradize, mind the cleanness of the rooms and do not hesitate to ask to change the room if you are not satisfied - the staff seemed friendly and responsive there.…
It was the worst stay in of my life!!When we arrived there a girl from reception took a money form us and without any paper signing she gave us a key from our "lovely" room!!!Room was very small compare to pics on Paradize web-site!!!After few mins a girl came in with two towels!Towels were still damp and they stank of dampness :( I was in shock !!When I came in to the WC ,inside the toilet bowl was black and very dirty!!!Shower was with a signs of mold!!!Our bed was so disgusting that we slept there only one night, the rest of the days we stayed in our friends house!!!A bed-set was old and with a holes, pillows were a way too small and not comfy,a sheet was smaller that our mattress!!!On the mattress there were a lot of spots different sizes, shapes and colors !!!It was just awful! :( Nobody from Paradize staff weren't interested in our stay!!!Nobody were cleaning our room even once and my husband was bringing a rubbish from the room by himself !!!We paid for a breakfast but ate it only once and it was a funny story too!!When I came downstairs to get my breakfast a lady asked me how she can help me,so i said that I want to get my breakfast.... Lady with a very surprised face said to me that its not ready because nobody said to her that there are people staying in a hotel at that time!!!Breakfast was poor and I'v got a sandwich with a slice of cheese with a sign of old tomato!!!DISGUSTING !!!To get into a hotel was difficult and not comfy because from 3 entrances, 2 main and 1 a bit faraway ,was open all the time only one, this faraway one!!!So my husband and me are really disappointed that we paid money for this hotel and were using it only for storing our bags!!!Would recommend to everyone NOT TO BOOK THIS HOTEL NEVER EVER AS YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A VERY BAD VACATION !!!!…
A very inexpensive hotel located fairly close to the city centre is perfect to have an overnight stay after enjoying picturesque landscapes of Daugava walleys and the lakes of Latgale. Well equipped room with kettle and complimentary mineral water. The personnel is helpful, but the rooms could be cleaner. A great alternative to hostels for backpackers and budget travellers. Breakfast is included, and the guests are offered to visit pool gratis.
