#2 of 22 hotels in Tartu
Travelers' Choice
The Antonius is a charming and luxurious boutique hotel in the centre of Tartu, directly opposite the university. On the four floors of the hotel, there are 27 rooms. The decoration and design of each room was carefully chosen and thought out, combining special colour and wallpaper patterns, wall paintings, fireplaces, stoves, and antique furniture. Some rooms have amazing views of nearby Tartu University, while others face the old town’s red roofs. The Antonius Hotel is located in a building with a long and dignified history, being first mentioned in the historical records of the 16th century. During the subsequent centuries the building was home to a hat shop, the Livonian Noblemen’s Manor House Credit Association, and the famous Guild of Saint Antonius.

Excellent location in the Old Town of Tartu, near the main street with lots of options for food and drink. The hotelrooms are really nice and historic, we lived on the second floor and it was quiet, huge bathroom!! The breakfast..astonishing start to the day, you can order from a la carte menu - very very good and large selection. Front Desk staff sharp and professional, rooms were clean and breakfast staff attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed every moment and for the future will book this beautiful hotel. This is something special...

We loved our stay. Probably best hotel in Tartu. Out room had amazing bathroom. Bed was big and comfortable. I usually sleep poorly in strange places, but I slept really good. Breakfast was wonderful, staff quick and friendly. Definitely will go again.

The hotel is really clean, comfortable and romantic. Not directly in the busiest street but really close. Excellent breakfast. The room is well maintained and the bathroom was one of the most impressive I have ever seen.

I can’t fault anything with this lovely hotel. The service was impeccable and friendly. The room was beautiful decorated and spacious. The general atmosphere was peaceful and elegant. The breakfast was delicious with the added bonus of an a la carte menu alongside the normal hotel buffet. I always appreciate freshly made eggs. It’s a gorgeous hotel and well situated as well. I highly recommend.
