Whether you are travelling with friends or solo, I doubt if you will find any place like this in Tartu. I have visited Tartu twice and never bothered looking for another B&B for my second sojourn! It was all possible because the staff are helpful and prompt at responding to emails. For someone who is picky about what they eat,...

The location is perfect! The hostel is situated on the town square which makes finding shops and restaurants very easy. The staff were very friendly and they all spoke English. The rooms were clean, though they didn't have a hairdryer, and I couldn't get the iron to work. Despite this, I would definitely stay again.

The Terviseks (meaning Chears!) is located directly at the townhall square in the center of the city. Everything can be reached by foot within minutes. It is very clean and has a comfortable kitchen and communal area. The breakfast consisting of toast and jelly is decent (and includet). There are no bunk beds (because the owner is not allowed to...

Perfectly positioned: right on the main square, the staff very kind, they even waited for me an opened the Hostel in the middle of the night and I appreciated it a lot; there's a nice kitchen and a cozy living room. I've been in the private rooms and only bad thing I can say about it is that both the...

Staying at Terviseks felt like I was staying at a friend's flat (but a friend who has a flat on the main square!). I spent only one night here but the staff kindly let us not only leave our luggage but also to hang out there the whole next day, until our bus in the evening. The room had a...

Though I have stayed only for one night, this has been very pleasant stay. Honestly, I felt like in a flat with international friends that I'm yet to meet (you even take your shoes off by the entrance). Staff is friendly, kitchen very home-like and rec room just as awesome. This has been repeated over and over again by other...

We only spent one night at Terviseks, but as far as I can say, everything about this hostel was ok. You can't imagine better location in Tartu - right on the old town's main square. Owner is very friendly. Room (we had a private double room), bathroom and kitchen are clean, roomy and functional. And this was our first Estonian...

Terviseks is located right on the main square in Tartu. I stayed in the four-bed dorm while completing a summer course at the University of Tartu. The location was extremely convenient as it is central to everything: shops, transport, cafes/restaurants, the university etc… The staff and owner Christian where all extremely friendly and helpful. Having a fully equipped kitchen was...

Location is unbeatable; the hostel is in the very heart of Tartu. We spent two nights in a small dorm, it was pretty quiet, both the common place and the kitchen were nice. Managers were ready to help and willing to chat when they were not busy. Tartu is rather small and you don't expect travelling at long distances there...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Terviseks is a home away from home for travellers wanting to visit Tartu and explore the South of Estonia. Our Backpackers Bed and Breakfast, located on the Town Square, is run by Canadians, English and Estonians who will make you feel as welcome and as comfortable as possible. Tartu is Estonia's University Town and home to 20,000 students so you don't need to ask if you can find a good party here! There are several quirky little museums so if you want to see a 5kg pair of testicles, or the actual offices that the KGB worked in you can do it in Tartu. If that is too much you can simply enjoy the parks, old buildings and river. We were responsible for the twice winner of Hostelworld's "Best in Country" and bring all that experience and knowledge of the town to our, and your, new home. ... more   less
