We stayed 3 nights in a twin room. The hotel is in a great location for the tourist attractions and for all transport links, harbour, trams, buses and trains. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and it was just "ok". We paid a budget price as we only needed somewhere to sleep and didn't plan on spending alot of time in the hotel. The decor of the hotel is very tired and overall the hotel is in need of some TLC.
We have spent here a nice weekend. Room was not large but OK. Breakfast was also fine, only personnel at the breakfast was a bit lazy and everything took a long time. Generally a decent hotel near main tourist attractions.
At the northern end of the old town, yards from St Olafs Church and the Fat Margaret Tower. Just stayed two nights and my cheapest hotel break ever. Not five star of course but five star for value and location. The girls on reception extremely helpful at all time. The bed was comfy (pillows were awful-flat as pancakes, so asked for extras which resolved the issue the second night) and the curtains didn't close fully. Going back to the price i learnt to live with these imperfections quickly. Breakfast adequate and the breakfast room was very nice. Would recommend this place to others. No air con but wouldn't imagine that would be an issue in summer this far north. Our room faced out of the old town and when you opened the window there was quite a bit of traffic noise. With no…
Stayed in this hotel for a weekend with a friend, and I cannot fault it. We got to the hotel at about 12pm, and were told that our room was an upgrade which included a mini bar. We were able to check in early, the bed was incredibly comfy, and we had a lovely view from our room. Breakfast included traditional Estonian food, and the hotel was located in an ideal location, not too far from anything. Would recommend to anyone staying in Tallinn.
for me travelling alone it was ideal location.the staff could not do enough and were very helpful.breakfast fine and what i would expect for what i paid Special thanks toTatiana who pointed me in the right direction and also Svetlana who always had a smile.T,v was fine as there were english channels something you dont get everywhere
I understand some other reviews are mixed, but for me I have to keep in mind the money I paid for my stay (very cheap). Honestly, the staff were so friendly and helpful, plus spoke fluent English. They gave us an extra pillow when asked, and recommended areas to get food. It was also really helpful paying a nominal fee to get our boarding pass printed. Free WiFi in our room and reception area was great. The room was quirky, a few random electrical items didn’t seem to do anything, and the drain in the bathroom smelt a bit. However aside from that, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and everything was very clean. The usual amenities were included: TV, minibar, shower gel, soap and shampoo, wardrobe, drawers, desk etc. The breakfast is continental style, with quite a…
Stayed here for two nights for it's location inside the old city and great price. It was a very pleasant stay. Located jn a quiet corner of the old town which ensurex a good night's sleep. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are simple but comfortable and well appointed. The included breakfast was a good variety. A checkout of 12 noon was another bonus. Very pleasant stay and highly recommended.
Don’t book a standard room here. Ridiculously small, you barely can walk into the room. I asked to change for another one with a larger bed (as my feet are out of the tiny ones they put in that one), they asked me 50€ more per night... The room is old, the wall are scratched, the bathroom is so small you can take a wee and shower at the same time. But the worst is this : there is moist on the wall in the bathroom. Breakfast is alright. TO CONCLUDE, I DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL.
Room was ok although my side of the bed had a low ceiling and I had to be careful - breakfast very basic only ate there once. Receptionist was rude kept looking at her phone when I asked where the loo was.... not good
I stayed in Rixwell Old Town Hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel the Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay. There was some odd food (herring, potato salad, cottage cheese etc). I stuck to the bakery items and a hot drink. The rooms were cozy but not bad for the price you pay. Good location. Felt safe.
