Gotthard Residents is located in an historical part of the Tallinn Old Town, on Pikk Street near the Fat Margaret with its Maritime Museum and the legendary St. Olaf's church. From the windows of the hotel opens a great view on the historical Three Sisters on the one side, and a breathtaking sea view on the other side. The location of the hotel is very suitable for all travellers who visit Tallinn - only 20 minute drive from airport and about 5 minute by foot from the Passenger Port and Central Railway Station. The building of Gotthard Hotel is a great example of architecture of the beginning of the 14th century. The interior is carried out in Medieval style, decorated with unique elements of ancient furnishing.

Great location, just a few minutes walk from town hall square. Nice breakfast. Helpfull staff, especially at the check-in time for helping us to carry luggages and stroller. There is no lift at the place.

While the location in the old city is decent, this is a horrible hotel. It’s very hot inside and when we asked for a fan the front desk woman was very rude and complained that even she did not have a fan so why would there be one for us. Our room is infested with flies and the bathroom smells Like sewage. The breakfast is inedible. The yogurt tasted as if it had spoiled. The hotel ties shut the windows in the breakfast so that you cannot open them. It’s very hot and crowded so everyone sits in the breakfast fighting for space and air to breathe, sweating. Also, the hotel doesn’t keep spare pillows. I recommend you avoid this place in summer.

We enjoyed our stay in Gotthard Hotel: friendly service, good breakfast, nice surroundings as in the old part of Tallinn. The beds were a bit too soft for us. The hotel was easy to find, easy to reach from the bus station, where we arrived.

We stayed 2 nights in a triple room at the Gotthard Hotel, and truly enjoyed our stay. The proximity of the hotel from the Tallinn Port as well as the Old Town is simply brilliant. Our check-in went completely smoothly and we were given 3 card keys. The reception is open 24/7. Our room was the one adjoining the reception. Though we were concerned about any noise from the reception or the street we didn't hear anything much and got a good night rest on both nights. As seen from the pictures the rooms have a very antique goth type deco and we liked that. It's good to open the window to refreshen the place, and make sure to close them tight before leaving the room. The bathroom was all in order. The room could have had more plug points, the mini bar/fridge could have been a little more quite and the bathroom could have had some counter space. But all minor details. Breakfast was also quite nice. On both days the food items were the same but we didn't mind. The warm, creamy porridge was by far the best porridge I've ever tasted in my life. It was amazing. There were 2 types of jam served alongside it. There was also an amazing dark bread and other types of bread and butter. Boiled eggs, a thick pie type omelette, sausages, cheese slices, cottage cheese, ham slices, chicken meat balls, white rice, pickle, yoghurt, milk, coco pops, cornflakes, muesli, banana, apples, white sponge cake, tea and coffee. The only thing is the restaurant area is quite small and crammed. On both days we went for breakfast by 8AM so we found a table. But those who came later had to wait a little for tables to clear up or share a table with someone else. All in all it was a very good stay and we are happy to stay here again.

We had a kind welcome and a warm farewell at the hotel. The breakfast was ok and the beds comfortable. Our bicycles could go into the staff room during our exploring the old town. Unfortunately the window opened into the noisy main street of the Old Town which kept us awake until late.
