The hotel building is from 1877. It was erected against the city wall which is a late phenomenon in historical tradition. In the contemporary organization of the city it was strategically important from the perspective of protecting the city to leave a free space between the city wall and the buildings. The first data about the dwellings being built against the city wall states 17th century when the city wall started to lose its strategic importance over the bastions. No extensive reconstruction has been done in the building, but throughout times an attempt has been made to preserve everything historically valuable. On the second half of the 19th century, the building was owned by family von Stackelbergs.

I was on a solo trip to Tallinn on a break from Helsinki. Booked this place as it was near the town center. The location is great. The room are decent. The hotel staff is helpful. The hotel has character and the staircase gives it a good twist. I would suggest you can stay here if you are going to spend time at Town Center.

Hotel itself is has good location, nice building and pleasant staff, however be careful with their most expensive and spacious room- Suite de luxe. The room itself meant to be beautiful and romantic with separate bedroom, living room with jakuzzi in the center and sauna with the glass wall. However this room is already quite tired and needs good refresh. The worst thing is that we tried to turn jakuzzi on and saw dirty black water inside, it wasnt cleaned properly at all. Unacceptable for the hotel in general and such expensive room in particular.

The Hotel is in an excellent part of town. So close to everything. Minutes away from the railway station and trolley buses/trams. It was immaculately kept, shower was perfect, breakfasts were wonderful - buffet with everything you can imagine and more. The reception staff always on duty, they are quiet and non interfering but there if needed. The 1 slightly negative is the beds were metal legged put me up with mattress toppers so quite low to the ground BUT perfectly comfortable and we stayed a week. Totally recommend this hotle :)

The hotel is well placed for visiting the Old Town of Tallinn. It was clean and reasonably well decorated. At breakfast there is plenty of choice. Our.bath was raised so if you were any smaller that 5 ft you would struggle Our room was on the side of the hotel and there was plenty of traffic noise On arrival there was only 19 complementary bottle of water. NO Tea or coffee facilities. Bed was comfy. I have had better for over £100 a night!! Not really worth this. .

The hotel is perfectly located walking distance to Trompea and Old town. The room was very sball and the bed quite unconfortable. Good breakfast. Hotel reception was rude and unfriendly, We booked a twin bed room but we were given a double room. Next morning a kinder employee helped us and addressed the issue.
