#2 of 100 hotels in Tallinn
Travelers' Choice
THE BEST MEETING PLACE IN TOWN Hotel Palace, located next to Freedom Square in Tallinn reopened in July 2014 after a total makeover. The Hotel dates back to 1937 and represents one of the most interesting, glamorous and majestic Hotel buildings in Estonia. This business class hotel with 79 rooms has throughout its history been a true business card of Estonia. The corner stone of the building, located only a step away from the most representative square of the town, was finished in 1937,during the pre-war high period of the Republic of Estonia. Architect Elmar Lohk designed one of the most glamorous buildings in Tallinn and its majestic atmosphere specifically for a hotel that would represent estonia at the highest possible level. The hotel building is a monument of national architectural heritage. Having acquired a completely new interior, the building continues its dignified course, traditionally remaining a modern lighthouse in the very heart of Tallinn by retaining its classic atmosphere, which is now combined with up-to-date interior design. The location of the hotel is excellent both for sightseeing in the town and for business travel. As of Apil 2021, Hotel Palace is a member of Radisson Individuals. Radisson Individuals is Radisson Hotel Group’s newest affiliation brand celebrating the individuality of each of our Radisson Individuals hotels. Radisson Individuals compliments our hotel with its Yes I Can! customer service, international reach, reputation and Radisson Rewards loyalty program. All this allows us to be even better representatives of Estonian hospitality.

Stayed for five nights Nov 21-26 with my daughter. We loved everything about this hotel and Tallinn. I requested two joining rooms and we got two rooms next to each other on the 5th floor. Both had two beds in and plenty of room. Shower was always hot and powerful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and the hotel is well positioned for easy walking into old town. We also caught a tram very easily from right outside the hotel and on one evening we downloaded the Starship Robot app and had some food delivered right to the front of the hotel by robot. Great fun and it really worked well. We’d never been to Tallinn but would definitely return and definitely to this hotel. All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were really helpful and a big hello to the reception staff, who we spoke to the most, asking for extra bottles of water, directions and so on. Thank you to everyone who made our short break a lovely stay and we both recommend staying here.

The staff were superb, with the check in being the start of a great experience. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels so the start of the stay is what matters to me. Rooms were large, beds comfortable and well laid out. The location is central and perfect

I just spent 7 nights at this wonderful and gracious hotel conveniently located in the center of Tallinn immediately opposite Freedom Square and the Old Town. It was my first visit since the pandemic but the hotel remains absolutely perfect in every way. Understated, historic, upscale and classy with superb staff would capture a lot. My room, on the 4th floor, is the one I usually have and is beautifully calm, quiet and homely. The desk is great for work and WiFi effective. The breakfast buffet is SUPERB! Every member of staff is charming and helpful. I can see why this hotel wins so many awards! Highly recommended.

Liked: - Tasty breakfast and restaurant food - A great location - Comfy bed - The sauna and steam room are pretty good. - Having a speaker in the bathroom was a nice touch. Disliked: Filthy shower heads and the inside of the kettle in our room was covered in limescale. During our time in the spa we noticed dirt had built up on the pool tiles and the jacuzzi started to malfunction several times. I also lost my locker key because the wristband fell apart while I was swimming in the pool. The biggest problem of the hotel is the noise coming from the outside and caused by the other guests. We stayed in a room that was connected to the next room by a wooden door. This meant that even though we were not staying with those guests we could hear EVERYTHING (including people having sex and talking until literally 9 am). The staff blame an old building that they can not change for these issues but this excuse didn't help me sleep any better. As a hotel guest, you pay for the experience, not to support an old building. If the hotel is aware of the noise problems caused by separate bookings sharing a joint room, I don't see why they would book both halves of the joint room out at the same time. Unfortunately, we experienced the results of the hotel compromising customer experience in favour of revenue. The sad part is that the receptionists and the managers of the hotel do not do very much to make the stay better. My wife and I talked to the receptionist, Indra Stepanova, about the noise and all she could suggest was a late check-out or a discount on lunch at the hotel restaurant. We wanted to speak to the manager but were told that their hotel manager is not on site at the weekend. Hence, the receptionist told us that we could contact the front office manager in order to receive at least a partial refund for the sleepless night. We wrote an email to Julia Subbotina shortly after returning home and got a reply from a different person a week later saying we can ask for a discount on our next stay at the hotel. My wife and I do not intend to come back to this hotel with extremely poor customer service and unhygienic rooms.

Nice hotel with great breakfast buffet including fresh fruit, fish and pancakes. The room has a good size with a little desk. The minifridge was a bit loud. I did not get a chance to use the pool so better take a swimsuit!
