You can feel the age of the hotel, the room was ok but could use refreshing. Sink was stained and the carpet is really old. The lift stops at half floors so with a heavy bag or for disabled it's quite challenging.Location is excellent. Breakfast is again, Ok, but could be better quality of products.
Came to Tallinn for Christmas market. A wonderful city I would thoroughly recommend. At arrival we were greeted with a sign telling us to go a few doors down to the main hotel where we were met by a nice lady at the reception. This building is historic, with a nice reception area, bar, sweeping stairs and a wonderful old elevator lift that the children loved. The breakfasts were ok, pretty basic, but fine. If you stay in this building I’m sure it is fine. However, we were directed back to the old site of the hotel, which is basic and clean, but very noisy all night (right through to 6am) due to pubs/ night clubs. If you can sleep through anything, you’ll be fine. But a light sleeper will get very little despite double glazing.
This hotel had several strengths and weaknesses. Here they are. Advantages. The price and location were good. Our room was large, clean, and had plenty of hot water and heat. Staff were friendly. Shortcomings. Beds were uncomfortable and thin. There was no coffee pot or hair conditioner. The towels were clean but old. Breakfast was minimal. It was an OK hotel, but we would not stay there again.
We stayed here for 5 nights , the hotel is in the middle of everything! About 20 min walk to the central market, 25 min walk to the ferry terminal and 3 min walk to the main square in the old town. Our room was good sized and clean, the breakfast is provided in the hestia barons hotel which is only 1 min walk. The breakfast has good variety and the room where the breakfast is served is nice ... with a 50-60s style. The staff is very friendly from both hotels, we required an early breakfast one day and they provided take away breakfast!! Which it was just what we needed, as we went to Helsinki for the day. We recommend to eat outside from The main square, just walk in the side streets maybe 5 min away from the square and you will find better prices with better food. We found a great wine bar called Pan y Vino which is about 10’min from the hotel. …
In the middle of everywhere, fantastic location. 3 minutes from tourist information centre, 3 minutes from the Town Hall Square and Viru Gates. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, hotel staff were helpful and very pleasant, I was there before my room was ready so they held my luggage while I wandered about until my room was ready. There are also several decently priced restaurants and bars in the vicinity. I will be staying here again in the very near future, fantastic hotel and would recommend to anyone.
