Tallink Express Hotel is comfortably located in the city center just a 5 minute walk from the Old Town. If you are looking for a modern place to stay, but don't want to pay hundreds of euros, than our hotel is just the place for you. Our hotel was freshly renovated in 2014 and is a great sample of youthful Scandinavian style.

Detailed Reviews
The rooms are small and started clean. Because I stayed a week, I noticed that the carpet in the room was collecting small bits of things tracked in. It was not vacuumed at any point during my stay. A broken hairdryer took two days to fix during the winter cold weather which left me with wet hair before going outside for a business gathering.
On the positive side, the breakfast buffet had plenty of selections. The front desk staff was helpful when I had questions.

Ok for the price.
Buffet breakfast, average ( included hots eg meatballs, sausages, omelet).A bit boring but again u get what u pay for. Also every morning the same...missed at least bacon.
Room was very hot even though it was not hot outside. Not good to sleep in such a hot room
Beds heaps too hard, caused back pain before morning.
But again value for money.

Hotel is walking distance from Old Tallinn, Shoping mall and port. Breakfast could be better, beds are very very uncomfortable, recepcion could be better( when I asked about parking and posibility to park on the street, they did not gave a full information). If you have to spend a one night next to port, thats ok, but maybe look for hotels next dor 😉

I booked my stay at Tallink Express Hotel in Tallinn through Hotels.com.
Unfortunately, I found the staff to be quite rude, displaying a lack of care.
My booking was initially quoted at £50 for bed and breakfast with access to the spa.
However, upon arrival, I was charged €63.20 and asked for an additional fee for spa access.
When I inquired about a room upgrade, the young lady at check-in was also very discourteous. The rooms are dirty and very basic, cigarette burns on the carpet along with mould in the shower cubicle.
Contacted Hotels.com (Edward) asked about the increase apologies given they made a mistake! Pleased I only booked for 1 night. Look out for additional charges (spa etc) wouldn’t recommend look at others in the area. Should be renamed “Tallink Express Hostel” more appropriate.
It’s a nil point from 🇬🇧

Ok, it was probably the hottest week of the year especially for Estonia, but regardless, please AVOID any room facing the road. There is no aircon in the rooms so we had to keep the window open, and said road is basically the only one taking directly to the ships, therefore there is a CONSTANT coming and going of trucks, with the subconsequent noise. On top of that, there is no toiletries in the rooms (apart from a wall soap dispenser) and no coffee/tea making faicilities. Breakfast is not always included, and when it is, quality is incredibly poor even if it looks like a nice buffet. All that for not less than 80/90€ per room which it seems like a robbery. Also the staff seems to be 100% not motivated at all, bored and lazy (not necessarily rude, just so so not motivated).
Luckily we stayed only one night.

Really good budget hotel in walking distance from the ferry terminal and historic downtown. The room was clean and quiet with all the necessities for a night. We had breakfast included and it surprised us with the variety of food options, unlike continental breakfast in most US hotels. Friendly and professional receptionist Ksenia was very helpful, she is knowledgeable about the area, and she took her time to show all the places on the map we might need and gave detailed directions to most of them.. We used the spa with different saunas at a discount rate because we stayed at the hotel. The thing that surprised me was that the reception was closed at 6 pm, but all the questions could be answered at the spa reception. I would recommend this hotel in Tallinn.

Unfortunately In this case one gets what one pays for. The rooms are basic, location some what ok, but...
You can hear absolutely everything from the room next door. The walls must be paper.
The noice I could live with, but NOT with the very poor service In the reception. Unpleasant, slow and it looked like they really didn't know what they are supposed to do.
To top all this, the girl In the reception kept sneezing and the wiping hernose with her fingers! Even if we weren't living with the threat of corona virus, this would still be unexeptable.
Never again to this hotel.

This hotel is well positioned for most of the attractions Tallinn has to offer. For most of the day the reception area of the hotel is deserted and any issues need to be directed next door. The rooms are clean and modern although a bit basic. The one issue we had involved a problem with the booking that was handled by a member of staff who’s customer service skills were more suited to the Soviet era than the modern day.

A nice hotel central in Tallinn with €10 access for guests for the spa/pool. The bedroom was fairly big and clean with a comfy bed, a large mirror and a desk. The bathroom had a funny smell coming from it and our shower was broken. To use the shower we had to tie a hair bobbin on it to keep the plug up so the water would come out of the faucet. We also noticed what looked like fruit flies in the bathroom on the shower walls. Overall it was a mediocre stay.

Sadly stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Totally unsuitable for any stay lasting longer than 24 hours and using it as a transit hotel for the ferries. It is dirty , noisy and unwelcoming. Attached by a link door to the far better Tallink Spa and Conference Hotel. Full of drunk Fins and noisy transit guests , the corridors are noisy with slamming doors and party goers. The rooms are not cleaned daily and the rooms are dirty.. Staff are surly and unhelpful.
