This was our 3rd time here. Clean room, nice staff and good breakfast. Location is perfect in the old town. Walking distance to everywhere. Good restaurants nearby and you walk to city center Viru Mall 10 minutes. I do recommend.
Excellent hotel located in a perfect area of Tallinn Old Town. It has easy transport links to and from the airport. We used the tram (No. 4) from the airport which dropped us off about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. It cost €1.50 each for a single journey. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast caters for everyone and has a good selection of hot and cold food options. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the fountain outside the main entrance and next to a nightclub (Club Hollywood) which we found out operates on Fridays and Saturdays. We were concerned about the potential noise but with the windows shut we couldn’t hear any noise and none when the club emptied so our sleep was not disturbed. A great city hotel with superb access to the sights of Tallinn. We would not hesitate to stay here again and throughly recommend it.…
I stayed in this hotel for two nights on the way from the business trip to Parnu. I regret my stay was so short, because I truly enjoyed it. I was first given a rather dark room on the 5th floor, with some noisy air installation outside, but when I asked, I was swiftly moved to another room, on the third floor. I was grateful for this change and enjoyed the new room very much. The rooms are clean and cosy, with a minibar, a tea/coffee making facility and a safe. Wifi works very well. Breakfast is served in a small room in the basement - during the weekends, it only starts at 8 am, when there are already quite some people waiting (so the hotel may consider changing the hour). The choice of food/beverages was very good, I especially liked the dark bread and the pancakes. The staff at the reception were all very nice and helpful.…
Excellent location, right by the Old Town but not in the thick of it so not the same noise level. Lovely grand old building, impressive staircase. Comfortable bed, good large bathroom which was spotlessly clean. Very friendly & helpful staff, from reception to cleaning, breakfast to evening meal. Fittings are a bit old fashioned & not a lot of soap but you would only have to ask for it to be immediately replenished. Breakfast room a little bit dark but plenty to choose from. We had dinner a couple of times & that was very enjoyable with knowledgeable & friendly service. Easy transfer from the port (bus) & also easy transfer to the airport (tram). However, just a note on the Public Transport app - I bought tickets on there but couldn't validate them. You are better off buying a physical ticket or just using a card on the tram itself.…
Right on the edge of the old town makes My City easy to get to by taxi, Bolt or the number 4 tram from the airport. Everything in town is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. A big market (and the train station) are a 15 min walk away but I wouldn’t like to do that with bags due to the cobble stone streets. The hotel has a classy foyer. The rooms were spacious with air con. Certainly they are not brand new but they are absolutely quiet, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was comprehensive but didn’t change from day to day. The restaurant (Mix) is excellent and was one of our best dining experiences in Tallinn - better in my view than the Michelin rated Cru. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We booked 2 rooms, a standard and a superior. From what we could tell they were identical except for daily bottled water and a pod coffee machine. Maybe our standard room was upgraded? I don’t know. I’d definitely stay here again.…
Really clean and nice hotel, and super polite staff. Room had air conditioner and was nice and quiet, bed was superb. Breakfast was good. Exellent hotel, this was our first visit in this hotel and we are definately coming back again.
We have just had a 4 night stay here, Tues to Fri in July. The hotel is right in the heart of Tallinn. €10 taxi from the airport. A minute from the Old Town Hall Square. Ideal for all the bars, restaurants and sight seeing. Staff are friendly and the reception staff speak fluent English. We actually booked pre-covid for a Rammstein concert, so nearly 3 years ago, and they honoured the quoted price of €100 per room per night B&B, except for the Wed night when the massive concert was on at the song park and the room cost €290. (Town was heaving with fans and all hotels were full). Overall very good value though......just avoid the special concert nights! We had a superior room (205) directly above the front door. Spacious, fully serviced with hot drinks maker, maid service, toiletries, dressing gowns, slippers, fridge etc. The air conditioning was effective.....there was a heat wave. The shower was easy to operate and very good. The included breakfast was buffet style, all you can eat. Excellent quality and choices of hot and cold foods, cheeses, fruit, pastries etc. Our friends' room, (201) also a superior, was on a corner of the building so had 3 windows, and included a 2 ring cooker and sink, so self catering must be an option on request.…
Fairly nice atmosphere at the hotel, but unfortunately very noisy air conditioner in the room. Breakfast was a disappointment, the selection was quite modest and the service slow. A lot of empty dishes on the table.
The hotel couldn't have a better location, the beds were really good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only af few things could have been better. For a 4-star hotel it was strange that there was only a tiny piece of hand soap at the sink in stead of a soap dispenser. Also the breakfast could have been better. The bread was dull and the fried eggs seemed cooked and not fried. Despite these small complaints I would choose My City Hotel again.
We stayed just 1 night at this hotel but I wish it had been more! The room was spotless, the bed linen first class, but what really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. From arriving the receptionist greeted us with a smile and welcome, and a couple of our requests were handled swiftly and with a smile. Now the hotels restaurant ...... This is a gem of a place, and while scrolling through restaurants in the area we came upon fabulous reviews for the hotels own restaurant. We decided to give it a try. Omg to say we were pleased would be an understatement!! The food was 1st class, the chef or chefs should be awarded 5☆ alone. It was real fine dining for affordable prices. If you're in Tallinn then you would be foolish to miss this restaurant. The waiter was knowledgeable and explained in detail everything that was on our plate, he was attentive without being intrusive. Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. We will be back…
