The hotel was excellent. The room was very nicely done as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel in old town is perfect for exploring and walking around. The restaurant was also very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was comfortable but at the top of steep stairs (would not work if you had any mobility issues so worth asking about accessibility of available rooms before you book if this is an issue), and you are in the town center, nearby to good restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was truly fantastic--egg, porridge and pancake options made to order plus a breakfast buffet that included smoked salmon, much better fruit that usually available in buffets (cherries, cut watermelon), plus extras like smoothies and panna cotta. I would give five stars except the service for our early departure to make a 7:30 am flight was a bit rough. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi, and it became clear we should have done this the night before. The reception person was not able to get a taxi but instead of trying other options, seemed rather unfussed and went to get our to-go breakfast (we didn't realize that a taxi wasn't coming). We made our flight, but it was rather stressful once we realized no taxi was en route (he did find one, but we had to wait 15-20 min). In short, if you have an early morning flight, book the taxi the night before as it's not a big enough city for taxis to be available at 6 am. The to-go breakfast was also not great (a sandwich so not even breakfast-y).

From checking in to checking out, we had a great experience staying at Hotel Schlossle. The staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I can honestly say I have never stayed in a hotel room in a city centre that was as soundproof and quiet as our room in Schlossle was. The breakfast served was abundant and of great quality - even with a hot dish (scrambled eggs, omelette, porridge) made to order. The variety of food on offer was simply outstanding. The hotel is located in the city centre near all the main sights. I think Hotel Schlossle is the perfect choice is you're looking for a worry-free, comfortable and luxurious stay in Tallinn.

I’ve been here twice, in 1996 and 2021. It feels like nothing has changed, but of course they didn’t have WiFi back then. They still put slippers by your bed, provide bathrobes, and keep your keys at the front desk when you go out. We had three rooms, all gorgeous. The staff are incredibly attentive. They began by treating us to a glass of wine while they processed our reservations. After that, every time we walked in the desk manager would stand at attention, with hands in front, like every royal attendant in the movies. Every staff person was friendly yet impeccably formal. Breakfast is equally classy. There’s sparkling wine next to the juice, in case you want a mimosa. I had no idea scrambled eggs could look so good. I’d say the view from the rooms is great, but that would be redundant. This is Tallinn’s old city, where it’s nearly impossible to find a bad view. The location is great, a few blocks from the central square, with restaurants and museums all around.
