I stayed at the Antagonist Art Hotel for two nights on a solo, leisure trip to Vilnius.

The. check in was quick and friendly.

I reserved a business double room for single use. It was very nicely appointed and very spacious. I guess because it's really meant for two people. The view overlooked Pilies street, and even though it is a major street in the Old Town, it was never noisy.

The hotel felt special. The carpeting is unique and it seemed like a lot of care was taken in decorating the spaces. The decor in the rooms was modern. Everything (lighting, heat) was controlled by a panel on the wall. The bathroom was also spacious and the toiletries felt very upscale (Bigelow products). Water pressure in the shower was good. The one tiny fault that I found with the room was there was no mini fridge for me to store drinks in, but it was a minor convenience and didn't affect my score whatsoever.

Breakfast was varied, with hot egg dishes (scrambled and boiled), several types of meats (bacon and sausages) and other Northern European fare (cold cuts, fish).

Again, the location is in the old town and it is quite close to everything that is worth seeing in the Old Tow (Gedimanas tower, the bastion, the Dawn Gate, Vilnius Cathedral), it's all definitely in walking distance.

I'd definitely stay in the Antagonist again if I visit Vilnius (which I hope to do, it is a very beautiful city).

The hotel is centrally located in the old town and is about a 15 minute drive from the airport (they can arrange a pickup) or 5 minute taxi from the train station. The hotel staff were all super friendly and no request was too much trouble. The hotel itself is very well designed and stylish and the rooms are large and spacious. Our room had an enormous bathroom with shower and all the amenities and the bedroom itself was also very large (and had a small balcony overlooking the lobby courtyard) with ample storage space and a large flat screen tv. All the room controls are operated off a central panel which is very new but intuitive to use and it is easy to set the temperature, lighting levels etc.

The room had complimentary water, tea and coffee making facilities (no fridge - one would have been useful) and a mini-bar. The breakfast options were good (hot and cold) and with gluten-free also available.

The hotel is very well located for all the sights in the old town. Would highly recommend.

Arriving in Vilnius early, we checked into this interesting hotel, right in the centre of old town Vilnius. Very friendly welcome by the front desk team, Karina was very helpful and happy to chat about Vilnius and the attractions in the vicinity. The team recommended the City of Light tours that were happening this weekend to celebrate Lithuania's founding birthday and we followed up their advice, which was well given and certainly added to our experoence in Vilnius.
The rooms were first class, tastefully decorated, with excellent bathrooms and facilities, the bed was very comfortable and attention to detail, cleanliness were perfect. Breakfasts were wide ranging local food and specialities and service very efficient. This hotel was a great choice due to its vicinity and quality of service and made our stay in Vilnius unique and very special. Thank you, team Artagonist for an wonderful time.

We love this hotel!!
Celebrated my partners birthday here and not only got a free room upgrade but also received super sweet surprises in the room- chocolates and a bottle of wine :)
Location is as center as it gets. The room is impeccably cozy and clean, modern and new. Staff are so friendly and helpful, even warned us about temporary parking and offered to watch our car while we shortly stopped by our room to drop our luggages.
Free parking is included at a nearby parking lot, and only need to inform the hotel in advance for them to make the arrangements. Breakfast is perfect- made to order and very fresh.
We will definitely visit again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We wanted something more exciting than the standard business hotels, but didn’t really want to pay silly money for a boutique hotel. Artagonist is a real gem, the kind of place that from the moment you meet the exceptionally friendly staff you know it’s going to be great. The newly renovated rooms are built into a historic centrally located building, and so have individual character and charm as well as a stylish design. There is art everywhere to make it feel special and unique. The quiet, air conditioned rooms have super comfy beds and fancy coffee makers. Final bonus, breakfast, which was a La carte made to order and just what we needed!
If you are in Vilnius I definitely recommend you looking at staying here!

Really happy for my choice of hotel for 1 night in vilnius. Modern interior in an historic building...individually designed rooms with striking artworks on the wall. Breakfast was an exceptional a la carte effort...very high quality...all for a reasonable price

Many thanks to the staff for making me feel very welcome especially allowing a late check out as I needed a shower after the Vilnius Half Marathon!

The pros:

Friendly and helpful staff.

Central location : Take number 3G bus from the airport and then about a 15 minute walk to the the hotel. From the hotel almost everything is within easy walking distance.

Spacious bedroom with plenty of space for clothes etc.

Nice toiletries in the bathroom

Very good pressure in the shower

Quiet room

Good breakfast

The not so good:

Not enough shelving at all in the bathroom

Automatic lighting in the bathroom that takes ages to switch off at night

Difficulty adjusting the temperature in the room as the room was too warm

Lighting insufficient in places in the room especially over the working and reading area

Horrible art on the wall depicting a torture so had to avert my eyes all the time. Room 403

Were told that the hotel does not serve dinner and still not sure if that was correct or not, as other reviewers mention dinner in the restaurant?

Sterile atmosphere in the bar area i.e. no one was ever there so although the receptionist would willingly come and serve us a glass of wine, it was so odd not to see anyone relaxing there.

Dear Cat C , thank you so much for such a detailed review of your experience. Reading your review we are happy to learn you found all essentials for a great stay: convenient location, quiet and spacious room equipt with great toiletries, good breakfast to start the day as well as friendly yet professional staff. Sorry to find that the art in your room was a bit too much for you, but i can ensure, Spongebob is not tortured, but he was surprised being in the Romanian times picture :) so as this character usually gets into strange and surprising places. Once more time thank you for your feedback and we hope you will consider being back in the future. Benas A Rooms Division Manager

I absolutely love coming back to Artagonist - it's definitely No 1 hotel in Vilnius. Each and every room is different and unique but they all share the same: cleanliness, warmth, style and every little detail is very much thought through. Karina at the reception even at 2am in the morning welcomes you with the biggest smile to check in and makes sure that your stay is flawless from there on. Great selection for breakfast.
Don't even hesitate - make sure you stay here once in Vilnius.

Thanks, Team, for looking after me.

We stayed four nights over new year. The Artagonist location is just perfect and nearby all sights. There are plenty of restaurants in few minutes walking distance. Our standard room was small but cosy and modern. The bath room offered a great hot (good to have in winter) shower. There should be more space to place ones cosmetic items. Wifi was available everywhere with a good signal and bandwidth. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with a large variety of items, great coffee etc. We had the new year degustation dinner at the hotel’s Amandus restaurant. An absolute delight and the higher end price was well worth to spend. All staff had been very friendly and helpful. Overall, we highly recommend this charming hotel.

We took a Bolt, a car service like Uber. Get the app Bolt, create an account and you are set to go. The cost was about $4.00 usd. There was 2 of us, so the Bolt was cheaper than the bus.
