Staff seemed friendly enough and did allow me to check in early. The location is ok, good for the bus and train station but a good 20min walk into town centre or to the ferry. The room at this hotel was very basic, no tea or coffee facilities and a very old school bathroom in need of repair. There was hair left in the bathroom which made me question if it had been cleaned. Not worth the 48 euro paid, as there are other cheaper accommodation nearby my friends stayed at which offer much better value for money.
Basic stuff. A nice hotel. The rooms are large. Everything was ok, but there was nothing special about the place. About 1,5 km's from the centre of town. You can find so much better food in town than the stuff they serve in the hotels restaurant.
Mixed experiences of this hotel - The hotel was a to far out from the centre for my liking.. friendly service on check in. The room was good with a comfortable bed.. and as it was height of summer and very warm I had to have both window's of my room wide open all day & night. The hotel is only a short distance from the train line with freight service running through the night meaning for a broken sleep. Other hotels or even B & B's I stayed in Lithuania they provided a fan. Buffet breakfast is passable although I would keep away from the fresh fruit as they were covered in tiny flies. The sausage omelette was enable. I would stay elsewhere if I ever retured to Klaipeda.
We stayed at the Promenada for one night. Everything was OK, except the breakfast which you most definitely should skip. Breakfast type: a la carte, from which you could choose dry overcooked omelette or overcooked and nearly burnt fried egg, or other one or two options which I bet would be a total disaster also. Seriously, I don't expect much choice from a hotel this size, but send your chef to a cooking school or something.
Situated a stone throw away from Klaipeda bus- and train stations. In a tree-lined narrow street with spacious parking to the front. Excellent and well exceeding its modest 3 star rating. Featuring a well catered in-house restaurant with outside terrace. Moderate prices and suites the best to short-stay business travelers. Friendly and welcoming staff with decent level of English. Highest regard after our short visit.
