we were received by a very friendly staff. The rooms are a bit outfashioned, but large and qiet. The breakfast was very good, the servants are very engaged to keep everything filled up and clean. The restaurant in the same building (fat cat) is disappointing.
Very nice stay in this comfy, kind hotel with a historical vibe. The location Can simply not be beat for a stay in the old town. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the rooms themselves are spot-on with that restful space after a Long day out in the city. The breakfast, included in the room, was a super value. BTW - they aren’t kidding about the Fat Cat restaurant in the hotel - it’s A-amazing!! Hint: try the olives for starters, and the burger - seriously good.
Very convenient hotel, all city attractions are within walking distance. Nice breakfest. Only one disadvantage: poor sound isoliation. For those who are sleeping very sensitive, it can be a little problem.
This is a comfortable hotel with a variety of different types of rooms. It is in a very nice location and the breakfast was quite nice in a comfortable room....not like a cafeteria in some hotels. It does cater to tour groups, but there were others in the hotel as well. We ate in the bar/restaurant and were amazed at the amount of food we were given. The food was great and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy.
The hotel is nice in a small town close to every thing The service was good the breakfast was great the service was nice and we slept good . The food was excellent and the service was great they make us welcome
A very stylish hotel, the building is quite old so the decorations and furniture match the style very well. The deluxe room is really spacious, with a coffee table and comfortable armchairs, there is even a bookcase with books, which makes it look very cosy and homely. The bathroom is also pretty functional. On the downside, breakfast wasn't the best, I missed scrambled eggs, there were only sunny-side-up eggs and a strange omelette, which looked more like a cake (not very good), but that's my personal preference. We don't like getting up early, so we descended for breakfast about 20-30 minutes before the end and unfortunately some things had been already gone. On the plus side, the restaurant has two coffee makers and several types of coffee to choose from (including my favourite cappuccino).…
Yet another great experience at National hotel on our second stay with them. Everything was to the highest standard from unbeatable location to room, registration and breakfast. We will be back on our next visit to Klaipeda.
You can’t beat the location of the hotel - right in the heart of Old Town and a few minute walk to the passenger ferry. This is a classic European style, older, mid-sized hotel. The front desk folks are very pleasant and helpful. Our room is big, as is the bathroom. However, the room is oddly shaped, with low slanting ceilings in parts (which follow the roof line). If you’re taller than 5’ 6”, you can easily hit your head, especially if you have to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Our bathroom has a tub/shower, but the tub has very tall sides, making it difficult getting in and out. Also, unless you like rock hard beds, be prepared for a somewhat uncomfortable night’s sleep. Finally, we can hear everything in the hall outside our room.
The hotel was booked by our travel agency. It was well appointed and the room had a "grand entrance." The actual bedroom was down about five steps from the hall entry. The breakfast had plenty of food, but I had to conclude that Lithuanian coffee was just not to my taste. The desk people spoke great English and were very helpful.
From the receptionist to the waitress, everyone had a smile, were very polite and insisted in helping us with whatever problem we had. Very well located as only a few steps from Theater square, restaurants and super markets. The lobby and rooms were quite beautiful.
