Services and aquapark was very nice. Hotel staff was friendly and supportive. Aqua park was clean and well maintained. But it cannot be said about the room. We had a mezonet room and the walls were dirty, carpet totally shabby, beds uncomfortable and staircase way too steep. However I understand that the hotel industry is having very difficult times and it is hard to do refurbishment. Therefore it’s acceptable.

We stayed as a family of three for one night only but unfortunately we were disapointed enough to decide not to visit again. Since we have two years old there was no need to book a bed for a child. So we expected to sleep in one bed which would be perfectly fine if there was not a huge gap between mattresses. Actually it was twin mattresses put together but they did not hold together. If hotel sells rooms like this for families with young kids, it should provide proper quality of sleep! They could put at least a topper mattress on top. Another thing was the AC. The room we stayed in was unbearably hot. We tried to lower the temperature but AC wouldnt go under 22degrees of Celsius and I really doubt there was 22 in the room. It was at least 26. Obviously we turned off both radiators in the bedroom and the bathroom but still we were not able to get the temperature right. Bathroom smelled like urine which probably means they do not clean the toilet properly! Pools and spa area were ok. No complaints about it. Our daughter had a lot of fun there. Selection of food was not great but also not bad. Food was quite tasty, not top quality but some healthy choices available.

The room was quite large and newly refurbished; you could hear the music from the pool area during the day, but it stops at 9 pm. The pools were rather worn down and crowded, but the spa & wellness centre was amazing with many different types of high quality saunas. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast; the choices for dinner meals were limited but the food was tasty and well-prepared. Overall we had a great stay!

We decided to stay here in the middle of a multi-stop trip so the kids could enjoy the aqua park and so we could go skiing. The price was a bit steep compared to what we’d been paying in other places including Prague, etc. but we figured it would be worth it to go to the water park, plus the photos and the description on the website made it sound like this was an upscale spa type resort. Boy were we disappointed. We were put on the third floor which is where the family area is. The walls are extremely thin, and all day and night long adults and others are stomping down the hallway on this floor to go to the water park. Our room was a few doors down from the lobby area which is just open to the hallway – – there’s no door in between the lobby and the space where the rooms are. Well, we have small children that go to bed by 8 PM. And the lobby was playing extremely loud music way past that time. As though it was some kind of a lounge or bar. I finally had to go up there and beg them to turn it off. I had to turn on a white noise app on my iPhone in addition to using my earplugs. Oh, and at about 6 AM every day there was some kind of delivery truck making loud noise in the parking lot right outside our window. Our room was pretty much a dump. There was an upstairs loft area for the kids, and a metal pole from the railing from the stairs literally fell off. The bed downstairs was just a mattress on the floor. Dinner is included with your hotel stay. And the hotel website shows menus for the restaurant, which happened to include what looked like at least one vegan entrée. That’s one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Well, there’s no ordering off the menu there’s just a buffet. With approximately zero items that look vegan except for maybe the steamed vegetables. And literally even coffee is not included. We were so desperate that I didn’t even ask if the pasta was vegan – – it probably wasn’t but we need to eat something. So this is not the hotel’s fault (well, I think—we did eat at the restaurant the night before) but the morning after our first night there two of us got extremely ill. Unfortunately this is the one hotel we stayed at that was not within walking distance of a pharmacy or a little store or anything. And all the issues with the noise and people stomping down the hallway and the bed being a mattress on the ground were made much worse when we were lying in bed with fevers extremely ill. Needless to say, we weren’t able to go skiing, and of the three days we were there my kids and husband went to the waterpark once. Definitely not worth our money to stay here. Travel note: We traveled by train and arrived at the Poprad station. Our original plan was to walk the suppose it five minutes (ha) to the hotel, but our train has been delayed and it was already dark by the time we got there. Uber didn’t serve the area at the time, and so we were hoping to get a taxi. Well they were a couple taxis (?) outside the station but the drivers didn’t speak English and they were very unfriendly. Finally we called the hotel out of desperation and they were able to send a taxi for us. The Poprad station is very small, FYI.

Feeling kind of let down by our stay (but staff were helpful). We stayed for one night at Hotel AquaCity and looking back 2 weeks later it still feels like it was money wasted. We, myself, wife, and two small children, made this a stop over coming from Budapest on our way to Krakow. I was thinking, great a family apartment, breakfast and dinner, plus getting to go to AquaCity (50eur day family ticket), seems like a good deal. The reality was although the room was a nice size. the second bed was an 'cheap' uncomfortable foam couch - practically unsleepable. it is embarrassing that you consider this a sleep option....go buy a better couch-bed!; the room we were in [I want to say 113] opens on to the outside balcony where people laugh and smoke till whenever they want; next to the kids play room (which was nice for the kids) where some unruly monsters thumped about well past decent hours - the reception refused to do anything about because the families were staying as part of a party; and there was no heat control. DO NOT STAY IN THE ROOM NEXT TO THE KIDS AREA....BAD IDEA. AquaCity itself was very much a let down, half the things were closed (basically any slide) so it was just a bunch of pools...50% of the park was closed....what a rip off. There is no way I would have chosen AquaCity if I had know this. Absolutely not worth making a trip to stay here. On the plus side, reception were very pleasant, the food was pretty good, and the bartender helpful. All and all, the price paid was definitely not at all what I would consider fair for what was delivered.

We arrived without reservation as so-called "Walk-ins" in the hotel, which includes a four-star hotel "Mountain View" and the three-star hotel "Seasons" in the same house. Since both hotels were well occupied, we were offered a family room for the price of a normal double room. The family rooms are large and have a living room with a couch / folding bed and a double bed on a raised balustrade, which is reached by a very steep staircase. The room is a bit worn, especially the carpet would have to be renewed urgently. Everything is very clean and the bathroom is great. The hotel offers the rooms with half board. The breakfasts are excellent and plentiful and the dinners on the three evenings of our stay were very varied with different appetizers, several main courses to choose from, dessert buffet, cheeseboard etc. The quality of the food is very good, the wait staff very friendly throughout! Especially we would like to express a big compliment to Katarina Kapralova at the reception. With great friendliness and patience, she helped us to find a solution for our planned trip to Spisker Castle and was helpful also at our departure. But also all other colleagues at the front desk are helpful and friendly.

The hotel was quite ok for this one night that I spent. Good breakfast, nice views. But rooms need to be renovated in my opinion. What is good that parking is free. Aquapark is also good advantage but it was business trip so I did not used it as we came too late.

This is a very funny place because it has a waterpark inside the property and some other water amenities, all the building use thermal process so it is always warm (sometimes more that you wish) but the solution is always to open your terrace door and you will find a great view, the Tatra Mountains, the room was very nice and comfortable; the restaurant is a little limited but the bar was a great experience, great drinks and great service; the location is a little complicate if you like to walk you can reach a very nice small town behind the hotel (20 min walking) very traditional place with great places to eat; everything else is far away; it was funny but the best place to eat in Poprad was just in front of the hotel, you can walk across the street and will find the best place to dinner

We visited in the 2nd week of January as a couple in our 30’s for 2 nights. After landing at 11am we had our bags in minutes! Went outside and asked a taxi how much to Aqua city, he said 15 with his fingers, I declined as I thought it was cheaper, next taxi I didn’t ask, just went with the meter, 5.60 euros!!! Arrival at Aqua city Seasons was seemless, easy check in and our room was ready early at 12 pm. We had emailed prior and requested a room away from the railway line. We got room 411, it was clean and tidy, had the usual amenities like mini bar and tea/coffee. There was a door onto the rooftop terrace where we could walk along and view the outdoor pool or mountains. We used the robes and went to the spa, from Seasons you can get the lift down, scan through a door and you appear in the aqua zone changing area, it took 2 minutes from room to the spa! The spa was pleasant, warm and dark, its takes some exploring as there are lots of corridors and hidden rooms and pools. The strong head, shoulder jets were great. Lots of nice saunas and steam rooms, one steam room was too hot to sit on the top level and boiling water dripped off the ceiling. Spa procedures – scan through, walk through the changing are to spa reception to get a bath sheet, return to small spa changing, undress and make your way into the spa areas. They say no textiles in the saunas and steam rooms due to materials degrading, you can wear costumes in the spa pools but many didn’t as you had to go and get changed again, there were quite a few naked bodies around in the pools and in the saunas and steam rooms, so what! We’ve been to German spas so were not phased at all. When in Rome and all that. Some people wore costumes in the saunas but just hid them by wrapping up in the sheet. It wasn’t very well policed. My wife had a sports back and indian head massage by a big slovakian man, best she's ever had! The large pool complex, outdoor pools and slides were all great fun. I got out and walked around in the snow in -15. The pools are all a bit spaced out and take some walking and finding with lots of turnstiles where you scan your wristband, the swim up bar was fun although the cocktails took a long time to make and only one girl serving, randomly people seemed to be getting free shots at certain times, we didn’t work that one out. the door to the 2 slides is in the outdoor pool entrance area by the lifeguard window. The evening laser show was a great addition, the place was full and a mass exit at the end. music, lasers, smoke etc. Due to this we got to dinner at 9pm to what was left. Not good but we were under no illusions as we had read reviews, we got by on some beef stew and potato wedges washed down with beer and wine. The small bar with pool tables and air hockey was ok for an hour, there was a ball missing but we made do, ask bar staff for cues and to turn on the air hockey. We got up early and had breakfast, usual continental meats and cheese, helped our selves to coffee and bacon/sausage/eggs/pancakes etc, all a bit over done but it filled us up. We booked a taxi to Tratska Lomnica to ski for the day as the receptionist said the bus was at 1030am on the number 4 purple route. That was too late in the morning so at 9.30 am, 18 euros and 25 minutes later we were in the ski area and ready! Reception had made up some tatry cards so we could get the ski bus back at 4.30pm for free. (simple form to fill out the night before) We did this and had a 26 seat bus to ourselves, and then we realized that there was a bus from the hotel at 8.30am on the number 3 yellow route that would have saved us the earlier taxi, I informed the receptionist and she apologized. Skiing was brilliant, rented skis, 22 euros each, got ski passes, a bit expensive at 33 euro each and hit the slopes. The piste cafes were great, lovely coffee, food and beer where the froth froze! We set off to get to the lomnica peak, turns out that the ski pass doesn’t cover it and you have to book separately, it was full for the day, we were very disappointed as that was something I was looking forward too. The webpage information wasn’t clear on this point. A beer and coffee in the humno pub after the slopes hit the spot and only a short walk from the ski area. 2nd evening we walked into the old town to go to a restaurant called Penzion Fortuna after reading a review. Again we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night! The degustation menu of 9 courses for 40 euros looked amazing, unfortunately it was off as they were changing the menu, the food we had was really good, brilliant waitress and lovely Slovakian wines, something we were surprised about and have tried to source after returning home to no luck! The next morning, same breakfast scenario, check out simple and a taxi to Poprad airport. Not much to do at the airport but a small shop and bar serving drinks and coffee. Overall an amazing stay, everything exceeded expectations or was on form with reviews and research I had done. The staff were all helpful, the reception bar didn't have ameretto, no bother, the barman went and got some from another bar downstairs. We will definitely be back!!
