We were warmly welcomed and given keys to our room. On the first floor, the room was beautifully appointed, large and very comfortable. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had an excellent meal with impeccable service. Due to the construction of the building, with its very thick walls, wifi was restricted, but a small price to pay for such a great place.

We travel to Poprad for a family holiday for over 10 years now. This is one of the very few places where we never miss to return for the delicious food and warm atmosphere with professional staff that really care. We have never been disappointed. Beside our younger daughter has allergies and it was never a problem to meet our (not easy) needs. We are truly thankful for having a chance to come back to this gem. It has great tradition and fantastic food for years. The guests are local and tourists mixed together which is always good sign ;) My sister with her family and our other friends were accommodated here and were happy!

We are a family of 5 so we ordered 2 rooms no stated we have 3 children's. I called the morning of our arrival updating that we will arrive around 20:30-21:00 When we arrived we realized that there are 2 rooms but in different places... one of the 3rd floor and the other on the first floor but in another staircase. The place base only 7 rooms so,how can you miss that? They told us all other guests arrived before us. It doesn't make sense and this is not the way to host a family

My general direction and timing for that day would bring me in the Popgrad area, and I fond “Fortuna” via the internet. It looked just right for me. The place did not Disappoint. Reservation by phone, about 1 hr before arrival, was done mostly in German. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is right in front, on the quiet village square. The hotel has a “dependency” across the road and that is where I got my room. Wifi was good: I even had the room (at the top of the building) with the router in it. I had a walk around the old village and because of “museum night”, the local museum was open. Small but interesting. Check the story about the city-walls. I also had an evening meal in the hotel-restaurant. Because I was not very hungry, I explained I would like to have just two starters, and some beers and enjoy eating it in the covered outdoor seating. The Receptionist/waiter and the cook understood, and made me some excellent dishes, visibly prepared with a lot of attention to detail. I suspect they run a very nice restaurant as well. Strongly Recommended. Room, Shower, bed: All good. Perfect night sleep. note: no lifts, beware if you dont like winding staircases. Breakfast was Good, checkout was smooth. I can definitely recommend the place.
