Detailed Reviews
I had a great time in this hostel. First of all the staff was always friendly and helpfull and they had very good tipps for things to do in Bratislava and where to eat and drink.
Originally planned to stay for only 2 nights, but there were so many nice and interesting people from around the globe that I decided to stay a whole week there.
But you also got your free space and you can totally chill out there, especially during daytime.
Everyday the whole hostel got cleaned, they had free towels and you can also cook and wash your laundry.
I definitely reccomend to stay there, everything is just fine there and if you want to go out to the city, you definitely just have to step out the frontdoor, it’s very central.
It was worth it and I had a great time there!

I arrived late in the evening and the owner (Rado) welcomed me personally while giving me recommendations what I can do and where to eat in the city. The rooms and facilities were very clean and invited me to stay in the common room and talk with the other guests.
What I particularly liked about the hostel was its central location in the city, with the tram stop in front of the hostel, two supermarkets nearby, and the train and bus stations within a 20-minute walking distance.
The hostel also offers a bike to explore the surroundings of Bratislava. I can only recommend to go to the nature a bit outside the city. The owner is very happy to give tips on where and how to make the most of your stay.
All in all, I highly recommend the hostel and the city. I really enjoyed my stay there and will be back soon!

If you are looking for cheap and yet nice accommodation in the center of Bratislava, you don't need unnecessary luxury, this is exactly it. The hostel is generally clean, the environment is homely, the owner is very helpful, accommodating, nothing is a problem and he certainly does not lack a sense of humor. Transactions are quick and hassle-free. The location is absolutely ideal. You can get here by car and at the same time cross the street and you are in the very historical center, a few meters from the center of Bratislava and possibly Europe, near the Michalská věža. In this price range, FOLKS is simply unbeatable and I can only warmly recommend it. I hope we will come back here again. :o) In the surrounding area you will find many other sights within walking distance. And the fact that Bratislava abounds with a large number of high-quality restaurants and clubs of all categories and types, also within easy reach, is probably not even necessary to talk about. Good gastronomy can be found right on the street where the hostel is located. I wish many satisfied guests.

Rado (the host) is very kind. Very central (tram right in front of the hostel). Very big and clean space and relaxed. If you're visiting during the weekend, the clubs might be loud nearby, but there are free earplugs available at the desk. Would definitely come back!

I stayed two nights in February, the hostel was clean, spacious, light and quite cozy. The hostel feels little bit like a huge flat with many rooms, it has nice and calm/chill atmosphere, I felt there like at home, which I really appreciated. In the big "living room" there two big tables with chairs (perfect for playing board games), sofa with armchairs and bookshelf with armchair in the corner. In the living room there is always tea/coffee to make, that's very pleasant. There is also a small kitchen, suitable for cooking. Toilets and bathroom were clean and ok. I liked the bed, it was comfortable and didn't make any noise when moving. Rooms are very very spacious. I would like to thank once again to the host, Rado, who was so kind and sent me by a post (for free!) things I forgot in the hostel:)) Next time in Bratislava I'm definitely choosing this hostel again.

My friends and I had an awesome time in folks hostel in Bratislava, we enjoyed a lot the shower, that was excellent, the washing machine, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the PS4 (and more) in the common room.
Special thanks to Prado at the reception for the outstanding hospitality and constantly taking care of our needs and questions. We will certainly return to Folks hostel and to Bratislava as the experience was excellent for us.

+1
I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Our rooms and the bathrooms were immaculately clean. There was a decent kitchen, and a very spacious sitting area. I appreciated that I could do laundry here. Location was right next to the center of town, and very easy to get to from the train station. Good wifi.

Owner and staff are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to help. Beds are comfortable and the social area has a big TV, Netflix and all that, and the hostel is right ok one of the main streets. I have stayed here lots of times and keep coming back.
