The hotel is a short walk, 2km from the centre along the side of the river (Beware cobbles and not good for a suitcase). It is a business hotel with nothing to do, nothing around it, situated in a housing area up a steep hill. Quiet, clean and basic but a good nights sleep in Bratislava. The bar is tiny and finds it difficult to process card transactions.

Position is good, along the Danube river, 30 minutes by foot from Most SNP and city historical centre. The surrounding area is quiet and public transportation are not far. The service is not at the level of a four stars hotel: some of the receptionists were not too kind or happy to help (we asked for a bottle of water after 10pm and we didn't get it). Also the breakfast (10 euros) is not at the level of four stars hotels (for quantity and quality). The rooms are large, but in most of them there is no a/c. In my case, the fridge was empty and there were two glasses but no courtesy water. I don't think I will choose again this hotel.

Pros: perfectly decent room, reasonable size, clean, furnished and decorated to a satisfactory standard, nice balcony. If that's all you're after, you'll be okay. (Actually, not all that clean; I dropped something and had to look under the bed, where I found a previous occupant's bottled water.) Neutrals: a bit out of the way, but an easy 15-minute walk, short tram ride, or cheap taxi ride to the old town. Okay wifi. Bus/tram tickets available at reception. Cons: Unavoidable steps into the building (and a steep walk up from the main road) make this place unsuitable for anyone of limited mobility (the main -- though not only -- lift is reached by stairs!!) No in-room facilities (no tea/coffee making, no 'phone, no USB ports, desperate shortage of power points, no a/c, only Slovak TV channels) Room serviced once in four days (I think; at least, the duvet had been moved around once while we were out) Really, if (as I think), this hotel chain aspires to "international" standards, they have to train staff away from the communist-era customer "service" mentality that still seems quite commonplace in Slovakia. This is exemplified by the breakfast buffet, which starts out okay (if far from outstanding), but when basics run out, as they quickly do, you have to go searching for someone, time and again. For example, it was only on the third day of a four-day stay that I realised that butter was provided for the toast -- because most of the time it had run out. One jug of milk to service both the coffee machine and the cereal bar -- which was at the far end of the room. A single, two-slot domestic toaster -- with the jams again by the coffee machine, at the far end of the buffet. Just needs a bit more thought and effort across the board to change this from a pretty mediocre experience to a much better one.

This could be a nice budget hotel, but unfortunately the staff are disinterested, or surly, our room wasn’t serviced for the four days we were there, the towels were old and frayed, and at breakfast food would run out. The rooms are spacious, but some of the furnishings have seen better days. It is however handy for the old town, and the tram stops.

Poor equipment, bad restaurant, untasty food. There is no caffe, only dark watter. Rude staff. They are lazy, unwilling. We ordered coffe, they had no milk and brought them to another table. Wifi was enought. Bathroom was ok. Very good location.

Avoid this hotel. Terrible smell in room. No aircon. Staff completely clueless. Hugely overpriced. I borrowed the only iron and ironing board in the hotel and risked electric shock from the iron and decapitation from the ironing board!

I was very disappointed. Very oldfashioned rooms, artificial flowers everywhere, dirty carpet. The receptionist was very lazy and unhelpful. The waitresses the same. They charge too much for this quality.

The hotel is very clean and has very nice facilities. Unfortunately, the internet is very unreliable and barely reaches to some of the rooms. It is also in a good location walking distance to the city center.

We stayed there in a group of 112 doctors travelling to East Europe for conference. There were huge amount of problems we faced.. 1. We people reached at around 10 in the night and it took the hotel 4 hrs to get everyone checked in, only to realize that there were no fans or AC's in the room. 2. Reception person says kindly deposit all your passports here and we will give them back tomorrow. Only after lot of discussion did he agree to scan them and give them back in the night only. 3. Breakfast next day was very ordinary but services were horrible. Just to give an example, six boiled eggs would come at a time catering to 100 plus people n then you have to wait for 15 min. Everything would finish and take years to replenish. 4. Even a basic electric kettle was not there in the room. 5. Call up housekeeping and no one will come. Perhaps these people book groups through highly unethical n unprofessional tour organizers like NEEM HOLIDAYS, INDIA and are least bothered about their clients.
