From the moment we entered, we were treated very well. Receptionists were welcoming and helpful. When the A/C was not working in our room, we were moved to a larger room w working air con. Staff in the breakfast room were kind as well. Plenty to eat for breakfast and they take COVID precautions seriously even in the dinning area. Great location to see the sights in this small city. Would stay here again.
My third stay in Carlton, now first time with my boyfriend. We booked the “Romantic Experience” package and we were supposed to get a bottle of sparkling wine, which we never did, but didn’t really miss it. But wow! We have been upgraded to a Junior Suite and it was probably the best room we have ever stayed in! The bathroom was enormous with a lovely tub and the room was also huge with an unbeatable view. As always, breakfast is great with plenty to choose from. Unfortunately, the Mirror Bar was closed this time due to a private event, but I definitely recommend, best drinks I ever had! All in all, my only go-to when in Bratislava, already can’t wait to stay again! I hope you guys will come out even stronger from the corona chaos and continue to provide the exceptional service! Tesim sa na dalsi pobyt :) …
Wow! Amazing place, great location, friendly staff! My first time here and the best impressions. Check in and check out very fast, kind people, nice food. In love with the city and in love with the hotel. See you soon!
Pros This hotel is ideally situated in the old town. You can walk to all the major tourist sites from this hotel. The hotel looks beautiful from the outside. The room was ‘okay’. Staff In the savoy restaurant were tentative. Pros The food in the restaurant was mediocre but the restaurant itself is beautiful. It would have been nice to have a spa/swimming pool because there isn’t a great deal to do in Bratislava. But I understand this is something the hotel are looking to install. It would have been ice to have seating outside for a drink or food.
Never knowing what opens from one European city to.the next, I was glad of this hotel and in the centre of everything, including the Christmas Market, the Opera House and reliable transport. Not the greatest of cities. I found this hotel very welcoming and I liked my room very much. I was given one complementary breakfast as I hadn't booked it, and as it was Christmas - otherwise 15 euros. Mini bar was very expensive but then I went to Tesco's there and bought some wine much cheaper. But I would recommend the hotel as a good base and much cheaper than staying or flying into Vienna, only 50 miles away. I got a very good deal from Lees-Bradford through Ryan Air, including the flight.
