A 5 minute walk to Old Town. Lovely boutique hotel. Relatively small room which was very clean. Our disappointments were that the bed was very low and uncomfortable with individual combination sheet/blankets that we fought against throughout the entire night. The room was very warm, even after receiving assistance from hotel staff. We eventually opened a window which only helped a bit. Another disappointment was that there was a coffee machine in the room with only one coffee pod and no cream. When I went downstairs to request some, the manager told me that they had none. What was the purpose of a coffee maker in the room if you can’t supply coffee for your guests? Oh well. On the positive side, the hotel had a very nice breakfast. Their dinner restaurant - Houdini’s- was very good and worth a visit.…
Premise, I have visited 5-star hotels and obviously they are not perfect. Unfortunately, however, this structure does not even provide basic customer services (we are not talking about extra services). Stayed for 5 days, the first three in pitiful conditions, where the air conditioning did not work. Day after day it was said that the problem had been solved until the 3rd night where I asked for a room change, with many difficulties to receive it (check in the photos the luxury solution that was imposed on us)! There was not even a minimum of compensation for having slept in pitiful conditions. Another point is the size of the room, which in 2 people is very difficult to stay inside (I think they are 17 square meters). Nice area, relatively close to the center; basic breakfast, same menu every day. I hope this constructive criticism for hotels will make them revise some basic points.…
A beautiful small hotel in the old part of the city. The breakfast buffet is particularly nice with crispy bacon, an unusual find in Central Europe. The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating. We had the suite 105 which is very nice. The bed is a bit firm. Also, it faces the street. The hotel is on a quiet street. However, light sleepers should note that street activity starts early. Before 7:00 am the recycling truck came by and the handling of the container of empty glass can be as effective as an alarm clock. All in all, this hotel is a very good choice.
The epitome of Boutique hotel. Great location, breakfast buffet is extensive & staff are really friendly, especially front desk staff. Not certain about 5 star though as there’s no swimming pool but there’s a lovely terrace on 2 floor - take stairs or the elevator. It’s an easy walk around the old town and close to the Danube River. Make sure to go to the UFO tower for a 360 view of Bratislava for €9.90. There’s also a standout 5-star international fine dining restaurant. Take the well worth it ‘Panorama Tour’ for €20 & 90 minutes - book via hotel desk. WARNING - TAXI - I caught a taxi from the train station to the hotel & was charged €24, including a €20 train to hotel charge which was a scam. DO NOT take taxi at the train station - it’s actually an easy 10min walk. My fare should have been €3-5. I hope the ‘friendly’ driver rots in … Certainly put a dampener on my trip…
A charming hotel, conveniently situated in beautiful Bratislava. Our room was very clean, comfortable and pleasant. We slept so well! It was good to have large dispensers of toiletry products in the bathroom (as opposed to small bottles) to save wasting so much plastic. The front desk lady was smiley and helpful with organising our taxi. A very enjoyable stay.
Lovely building in great location in easy walking distance of all main sights. Nice artworks and old photos of film stars. Very helpful in organising a rental car before I arrived. Good breakfast with lots of staff. Good summer terrace area.
The hotel is actually not bad for a night or two. But it has nothing to do with five star hotel. Neither reception, nor room, or breakfast. It is all good for a three star property. So don't expect five star service level.
Bratislava is a hidden gem. The hotel was very accomodating since we arrived early and had to store out luggage. Nice large bathroom where I was able to change and freshen up. The door man was very helpful with directions and recommendations. Good breakfast and clean room.
Very friendly staff and spacious room with bathtub. Well-located, just a few minutes from the city center. Good breakfast with sparkling wine (which for me is a huge plus). Classy beautiful place. I would definitely recommend and come back.
We stayed for four nights around the last weekend in August. The hotel is located centrally with excellent access to shops, bars, restaurant and the riverside. Our room overlooked the interior courtyard and was extremely quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary minibar is a nice touch and made us feel at home. The staff were extremely friendly both at the front desk and in the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
