We were very happy with the services at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel whenever we are. hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was very nice. So yeah, definitely recommend :)))
This was my third or fourth visit of this hotel and it was flawless. They were still covid-precautionary and restrictions were in place (e.g. indoor mask mandate, sauna out of order). Not too many many guests - the hallways were empty and the frontdesk line non-existent, therefore a very fast check-in. We got an upgrade for a suite with a view that was large, clean and modern, with a huge bathroom with a shower and a separate bathtub. Breakfast was fantastic: fully stocked and again, only a handful of guests. I also used the gym: small but sufficiently equipped (better than most of the hotels I've stayed at) and the pool - I was the only person using it at the time. The only drawback is the paid parking which isn't at the cheap end. Again, because of the lack of the guests and generally deserted city, the stay was very quiet and relaxing.…
We had nice time, ppl were nice too, food was tasty, bit overpriced, breakfast too expensive..parking was great but overpriced too..we have paid enough for room and we’re expecting at least parking for free or just for at least half price what we have paid..
Very good hotel, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Italian style restaurant with high quáity food and drinks, especially pasta, fish and fruits of the sea, helpfull staff. Only disadvantage are busy mornings on the reception with long waiting
The hotel is a bit out of the city but I found that a plus rather than negative. Really beautifully appointed, excellent spa area. The seating furniture in the room was a bit "tired" but otherwise the room was great. The chef for fresh cooked breakfast items was never at his post but all in all the breakfast was great
We stayed in this hotel together with my wife for four weeks, due to numerous issues that we had to handle in Bratislava. During this time we were given a comfortable suite (Diamond upgrade), and we enjoyed facilities of the hotels - from the breakfast, through the recreational facilities to the parking. The hotel is reasonably priced for the value that it offers. There is an access to all important points of the city by public transport, and with a good planning (so as to avoid peek hours) it is possible to use an own car easily, because the hotel is at a crossing of main avenues of Bratislava. The breakfast had a sufficient choice for us to vary our choices during 4 weeks. The spa and the pool provide a nice relax - there is also a fitness, if you are into it. All employees showed a courtesy, professionalism and made us to feel at home. They respected schedules of guests when cleaning rooms, they followed up on our demands until resolved, and they remembered our choices.…
This DoubleTree was conveniently located near the freeway and featured a secure undercover car park. Checkin was efficient and the rooms were old but practical. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for a private function and we had to go to a nearby alternative which however was worth the short walk. Breakfast was good.
Me and my wife have such a pleasant experience with Hilton group hotels in the past. We’ve had a pleasure to stay at Tysons Corner, West Palm Beach, and Las Vegas. But this is the first time when we’ve had such an unfair and awful experience with the Hilton Group customer service — at the DoubleTree By Hilton Bratislava. We are Ukrainians who got lucky to flee Ukraine just a week ago. Hilton group is doing a promotion by providing 5 free nights to all Ukrainian citizens who escaped the war. My wife booked 5 nights at this hotel so it took us 5,5 hours to come here from Poland just to have a 5 days to finally get some rest. At the hotel the front desk manager Lubeca told my wife to provide confirmation that we are Ukrainians. My wife has just the copy of her national passport - original was left at Ukraine with almost all our stuff. Also she has original birth certificate and residence confirmation. I think that these document DO prove that my wife is Ukrainian citizen. Instead the front desk manager said that we are cannot stay at the hotel without the original passport and told us to leave. So after going through 1 month of war, after long drive to Bratislava we received BIG f..ck off from Hilton Group representative and right now we’re sitting in our car and thinking what to do. We felt very disrespected by Lubeca, very uncaring and cold attitude from her. In such a well-known company there shouldn’t be a customer’s treatment like that.…
We were welcomed deep in the night with a happy and warm smile. The short lady at the front desk was very helpful and listened carefully every time. Overall a great Hotel. Just a remark: 1 toothbrush is not enough, if the room is booked for 2 people.
Having stayed here on repeated occasions, I knew more or less what to expect and wasn't disappointed. The room was nice (amenities the usual, including a decent disposable razor than can be used more than once). The main attraction for me however is the well-equipped gym and the fact that it is open 24 hours. There is also a nice pool. It should be noted as well that staff is generally quite helpful, such as when I needed information on Covid testing or a bus to Vienna. I was particularly impressed by the fact that when I descended to collect a boarding pass, they had already printed it out, even though I'd emailed it just a couple of minutes previously. All that said, there were a couple of minus points. First, it is absurd that guests cannot print anything themselves, meaning any documents to be printed must be sent to reception. Second, the breakfast isn't much. The hash browns and sprats that were part of it during my last stay (2018) were nowhere to be found. The mixed vegetables had hardly been subjected to any cooking and on the whole were rather tasteless. Instead of potatoes there were pancakes, which at least for me automatically ruled out the beans in tomato sauce, as I can't picture eating these with anything except potatoes. If eggs sunny side up were an option, this was not apparent. And, annoyingly, the lox was pre-portioned in little glass receptacles - they didn't do this with the cheap processed meats, so it clearly wasn't a Covid measure. Even the mustard was pre-portioned - a first for me. Also, breakfast was exactly the same both days. If the selection is going to be limited, then a little variety from day to day would be nice for guests staying more than one night. Finally, it passes belief that the hotel could not turn off the heating in my room (so they said), resulting in my having to leave the windows open all night while hot air continued to be pumped in. Ridiculous. The hotel's location is not so central, but Bratislava is not big. There is a shopping center ("Central") within 10 minutes' walk, and the bus station is only about 20 to 25 minutes away by foot. A good gym open 24 hours is important to me, and the helpful staff made a positive difference, so I'm going with five stars despite the clear deficits.…
