Decent hotel. A little pretentious claiming its a luxury hotel accommodation. Notwithstanding that, the price value reflects what it is a decent hotel. My room was basic enough. Paid €102.00 for two nights so found that good value. The location is perfect. They claim to have a sauna. It's was off in March and mot available. Service at desk could have been better. Asked for a small drop of milk for tea for my room and young lad on desk they didn't have any. Other that than that I found it good value and great location.
We stayed in this ‘Hotel and Residences’ located in the heart of old town Bratislava for three nights. Our apartment was large, faced Michalska Street. I found street sounds reasonable; I enjoyed my window street view observing life flow and street music. It truly felt like I was in Europe. Highlights: Spacious place, beautifully redone hardwood floor, and the most comfortable beds we slept in during our Slovak trip. Front desk people were friendly and gave us good city transit recommendations. Lower lights: no ceiling lighting in the living room; I found this area to be dark. A free Wi-fi connection was “unsecured’’ we hesitated to use for our credit payment, a small TV set on the large wall, and an uncomfortable, well-used sofa. Covid service restriction came as a surprise for us: No, or limited housekeeping, no mineral water in the room, no free in-house sauna for guests. During time of our booking, we were not informed about these service restrictions. I would recommend this place to stay, if you do not mind covid service restrictions, to all travelers who are in a search for old city charm due to its location. Everything is so close. You can reach all main points of interest: Slovak national Theater, The main square, Bratislava Castle, St. Martins Cathedral by short stroll from your hotel. You will explore the Old town and see stunning views of amazing Bratislava, as you were dreaming at your home.…
Stayed at this hotel with friends as a party of 4 on recommendation of a Slovakian friend. Hotel is bang in the middle of the old town so it’s perfect for exploring, the landmarks and restaurants. We arrived quite early (around 11am) and the hotel safely secured our luggage whilst we went to find food. When we were able to check in, both rooms were decorated nicely - one was bigger than the other but both suited our needs perfectly. Main downside is lack of lighting in the rooms - the rooms did seem quite dark. There are bars and restaurants outside so you may be able to hear some noise but we didn’t notice anything of note. The atrium is really lovely and smart, with an open glass vibe. Staff were super friendly too. All in all, a lovely stay and we’d definitely return!
We stayed in the hotel Skaritz for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Apart from minor issues everything was perfect. Reception was friendly and helpful, the room really large, nice and clean. The whole house was in a perfect condition. Breakfast really enjoyable, though the room as such maybe a bit small. You can even book the private use of the sauna. Some comments say, that it is too loud. But again what do you expect when you book a place that is as ideally located, in the middle of the historical center? All pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as tourist attractions in walking distance. Perfect place
Two of us stayed for 3 nights recently and were delighted with our choice of hotel. We took the bus then tram from Bratislava airport for less than 2 euros and were then within a 3 minute walk from the hotel. This is very centrally situated with many bars and restaurants around. Breakfasts were very good with a lot of choice of both hot and cold food and fruit. Staff were very pleasant and helpful particularly Philippe on Reception who assisted with plans for our day trip to Vienna, only just over an hour away. Would definitely recommend.
Great hotel in a fantastic location in the old town. We were given an apartment style room for two nights which were fabulous and are the best value accommodation we have ever stayed at. There breakfast was great aswell.
The hotel is a great locaion, right in the city centre, you have everything you need around you! They staff were all very friendly and helpful and speak incredible english. The room was very large, clean and tidy. The bathroom was also a great size (Shampoo, shower gel and soap included) You can keep your luggage in a locked room if you have a late flight
Four friends spent three nights in this town centre hotel. Christmas markets were just round the corner - and some of the best that we have visited. Street food at the market was of good quality, mulled wine available in many flavours, so warming on a cold winter nights. The atmosphere at the markets was wonderful. There are eating places nearby to suit all pockets, check them out and take your pick. The hotel was welcoming and helpful, reception staff were exceptional. Breakfasts were pleasant and enjoyable. Our very large bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable; if you are not a late-bedder it can be noisy as the bars empty, but just keep your window closed and it’s fine. Bathrooms were well appointed, great showers, bath etc. Tea and coffee-making facilities and a well stocked fridge with reasonably priced drinks and crisps. Take time to enjoy a Thai massage in the hotel, excellent masseuse and very acceptable prices. We booked the small tourist train that takes you up to the castle after giving you a tour of the town, worth using. Also booked for an opera, not expensive. It’s also easy to get around by foot.…
If you come to Bratislava as a tourist you want to stay close to the pedestrian-only Old City. The Skaritz hotel is right in the middle of it. In a historic 200+ year old building the remodeled inside is beautiful and functional. The breakfast is outstanding and it's a deal especially when you book it with your room. As to costs, we stayed there 4 days for what we paid for two days in nearby Vienna. That cost savings is what happens when you cross the Danube river from Western Europe to Eastern Europe. Lots to see our in Bratislava and most of it is accessible by foot. Just walk out the door and you're in the middle of street markets, museums, churches and more. Rooms are clean. The staff are fantastic. Everybody speaks some English so that's not a problem. The only advice is if you get a street side room, close your window at night or else you'll be awoken by the late night revelry in the street below. Sounds like fun? Believe me it is.…
Enjoyed this hotel situated in a historic building dating back 500+ years. Perfect location close to everything. Very clean large room and bathroom. Breakfast was adequate with many choices and juices / coffee / tea. Front desk staff were outstanding and very helpful! If you want to keep a window open, make sure to request a room off the Main Street. Earplugs are provided but it can get quite loud until 3am. Would highly recommend!
