It features 73 rooms, a spa area with in-door and out-door swimming pools, jacuzzi, saunas, steam bath, etc., several conference rooms (the largest being 220 sqm), a bownling alley, a restaurant and a bar. We offer free WiFi, business center and spa for our guests. Packages of the hotel include dinner in the well-known Renaissance Restaurant in Visegrád, and we are dealing with programme organization for groups and events (knights tournaments, team builings, catamaran river trips, wine tastings, bus tranportation, etc.)

Detailed Reviews
Very friendly staff, lovely rooms, and overall a great atmosphere. My family loved every minute of our stay. The trip by minibus to the Solomon tower and the Knight's tournament entertained both adults and children alike.

Last week I spent 3 super days with my family and my dog at Hotel Visegrád. The staff was very kind and helpful, the food at the Hotel's restaurant and at the Renaissance Restaurant was very delicious, many thanks to the restaurant's staff for showing the gluten-free foods to my gluten-sensitive husband. The wellness area is also nice, we stayed there a lot, the pools are clean and the environment is tidy. Overall we are very satisfied with the hotel and recommend it to everyone.

We visited the hotel in June 2021 for 4 nights. I can only say good things about the hotel. The restaurant had a varied offer, both at breakfast and at dinner, tasty food. I liked that every evening the selection of food of the day was displayed at the hotel reception. The wellness department was also impeccable, with adequate water temperature and cleanliness.
I would like to highlight the "Royal Feast" in the Renaissance Restaurant. The guests were taken and brought by the hotel's small bus.
The owner, Tibor Zeller, came over at dinner and inquired about our satisfaction, the food selection, and the deliciousness of the food.
It was nice to talk to him, it seemed that his professional knowledge was by far the best, he knew how to manage his hotel!
We will be back as soon as our health allows!

We spent a weekend from Friday to Sunday there with my husband, and it was a huge disappointment. The only nice experience from this place was its’ restaurant, the waiters were kind and the food was delicious. About the hotel itself I cannot say anything positive. The receptionists at the check-in were phlegmatic and they supposed that everyone knows everything about the hotel. The room was dirty, the carpet had many stains, and the furniture was dusty and had stains from glasses. We got towels that were so filthy that we didn’t dare to use them. The shower head was leaking everywhere and the water temperature was fluctuating.
In the room there was nothing that a 4-star hotel usually offers (eg. coffee, tea and kettle) and a safe could be only used if you can get a key from the reception.
About 16:40 on Friday, we had no chance to book a massage for the whole weekend, while when we got to the wellness part of the hotel on Saturday we found pools smelling really badly from chlorine and had no place put our stuff as it was so crowded. Half of the saunas were also closed.
Altogether it was dreadful.

Response from Robert-ZeIIer, Tulajdonos at Hotel Visegrad
Responded Mar 3, 2020
Kedves Vendégünk! Köszönjük a visszajelzést! A zuhanyt ellenőriztük, jelenleg tökéletesen működik.

The hotel is not a four star establishment in my opinion.
The public areas are nice, poolside as well but the rooms are faded even the superior ones. Very bad lighting in room/bathroom either to dark or to bright.
I booked a room with balcony but got a room without.
Went back to front desk and all they could offer was a regular room. No refund for the price difference offered.
We decided to stay in the first appointed room and after asking for a refund all the front desk staff could offer was a 5%refund for our four nights stay.
The room was not cleaned properly. We found garbage from previous guests and a big greasy spot on the mirror.
During our stay house keeping only changed the towels and emptied the garbage can.no cleaning during our four nights stay.
Front desk staff is very business like no friendliness to be found with exception of the interns.
The food in the restaurant was tasty, good and there was enough variation.
Most waiters seemed friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed the surroundings of Visegrád. Much to see. Nice to walk around and to visit the historic highlights.
You can even cross the Danube by ferry to explore the opposite tide of Nagymaros.
But I would not return to this hotel. No value for money in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the first two days were a very unpleasant experience. On the first day, when we arrived, the terrace and bathroom of the room we received were not properly cleaned, there was mold and limescale in the shower cabin, a dirty tap, and the previous guest's trash was also there, an early check-in would have been a positive, but it pales in comparison. Notified at the reception, someone soon came to clean.
In the afternoon, when we opened the door, the door fell out of place. we booked like that. We got the third room, everything looked great, except for the approx. 0.5 square meter balcony, but we waved at that as well.
Unfortunately, later (even that evening) when bathing, we found that there was hardly any pressure, but the worst thing was that there was no hot water.
This was resolved the next day with more or less success.
As compensation, we received two cocktail coupons and later a lunch.
To write something positive:
The food was delicious, the waiters were kind despite their hectic work schedule.
The efforts and kindness of the hotel manager are delightful.

+1
My parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary here and came home full of experiences. They spent 4 days in the hotel, each day they were enriched with something new. A beautiful, beautiful, demanding and extremely family-friendly place. The daily cleaning, the environment, the food were all outstanding. I am grateful to the hotel staff for fully cooperating with me in organizing the long weekend and realizing what we envisioned to celebrate our parents.
I can only recommend it to everyone.😊

We have been coming to this hotel for 10 years with family. Staff always goes out their way to make our stay pleasant. Kitchen is excellent. Wellness is nice too, however, not the main asset of the place. Rooms are clean and comfortable, overhearing neighbours are minimal. Lovely programs - don't miss out on a medieval knight tournament combined with an authentic feast afterwards. History and tradition lingers everywhere, including the medieval castle ruins. Tranquil forests, bubbling creeks and the turn of the River Danube are beautiful sights to visit. All is provided for a relaxing stay.

Hotel Visegrád is a great accommodation to go!
It is located in a very good place: almost by the Danube, near to restaurants and coffee shops and many hiking trails start from there.
The staff is very kind and helpful and the medieval feast is a wonderful experience!
We will definitely come back to Hotel Visegrád!

Hi Fellow Traveler! You can easily reach Budapest by train, it will take around 1 hour from Nagymaros-Visegrad trainstation to Budūapest Nyugati trainstation.
Unfortunately we are not licensed to change currencies. Takarekszovetkezet bank is located 50 meters from the hotel, where you can change Euros to Forints.
Enjoy your stay in Visegrád!
