We stayed here one night only, on the road for 2 weeks around Hungary, and heading to Lake Balaton. We were pleasantly surprised by this very well run traditional hotel, which is right in the town centre and has an attractive old facade. The receptionist was a lovely, helpful young woman who spoke great English. We were initially a little concerned to see they were setting up a big wedding (Saturday) but we needn't have worried - we had no noise issues whatsoever, and there was a nice atmosphere in the hotel throughout. Breakfast was one of our best ones in the 2 weeks of hotels - good coffee. The town itself is really beautiful. We were there in the 'super heatwave' - it was almost empty during the day - but oh my - it became very lively at night! Thoroughly recommend a stop here.…
The hotel is beautifully situated mid in the center square of Szekesfehervar just at the beginning of the central old town (which I did not get the chance to see due to tight business schedule). The interior is beautiful old style - with knights armor and weaponary - you almost feel the presence of old middle eve spirits :-) The rooms are modernized but kept in a old looking style. Clean and spacious. And quite. The hotel has a good restaurant which is also very cozy and here they also serve great brekfast in the morning. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this historic but very comfortable hotel on the end of the city center mall. There are so many fabulous places to visit within walking distance, including restaurants, bars, museums, shops, and churches. Everything was very clean and the service was outstanding!
Nothing fancy, just a regular hotel close to the town centre. Rooms are essential and not so big, prices are ok for the service. Breakfast is good, although it closes early so you will need to wake up early and check out early.
Nice Hotel, very nice food although limited selection. Very nice front of house staff, especially a slim black haired lady ( Franni I believe) who’s service was always with a smile & helpful. Would stay again and would recommend. Ps the WiFi needs improvement.
It has an incredibly convenient location and the front desk staff speaks English, plus they're extremely helpful. I've been staying here for a week and the front staff continues to smile and are happy to help with anything I ask. The hotel is located on the pedestrian plaza, the hotel has a classic look and feel, my room is clean, the bed is very comfortable and the breakfast is good. The only thing I could suggest they improve on, is to have bigger coffee mugs :-) and although the gym is sufficient, I used to be a pro athlete and from my needs I would prefer more equipment in the gym. Otherwise this place is awesome and I would encourage you to stay here. This is a beautiful little city and you can walk to a lot restaurants, bars, shops and there is a mall at the other end of the plaza. It's very relaxing. I've really enjoyed my time here. Thank you to the front desk staff! It…
We stayed here with a tour and initially everyone was upset as we were told we'd be staying in Budapest. But this lovely old hotel and the town it is in was a surprise. The service was good, the food was good and the location was perfect. We were lucky to be there when they had their Kings festival on and enjoyed the parade. The room we stayed in was basic but clean and a good size, the Wi-Fi was free, there was a mini fridge, in room safe and a kettle (although only 2 fruit tea bags provided). From the hotel it's a short stroll through the street to many cafes, restaurants and shops. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
we were 8 people for a dinner at the hotel restaurant. we ate a good meal with gulash soup and great BBQ chops, some veg been plate and has a good time in the street. very clean toilet.NOT SO CHEAP COMPARING TO HINGARY BUT NOT SO EXPENSIVE FOR A HOTEL RESTAURANT.
Good historical hotel directly in the downtown. The rooms are wide and clean. Good quality of sleeping. Huge choice of sweet and salty meals for the breakfast of very good quality. The staff is kind and available for any needs.
I stayed for a single night. I arrived on a bicycle, late in the evening. Absolutely no fuss; booked me in with courtesy and -- as I was leaving at 5am -- put together (and brought up to my room) a packed breakfast. (Excellent spoken English.) The room itself was spotless, large, and very well furnished. The air-conditioning worked very well. I had the filet mignon from the restaurant menu -- this was one of the best / the best filet mignon I have had; the full blue-cheese taste -- a bit of a revelation (the potatoes not done so well). The location is also excellent; central, and part of pedestrianised area. The chairs and tables outside in the evening looked appealing. I would look forward to revisiting.
