Under the restrictions of Covid there’s less going on here than formerly. The once excellent restaurant is closed in the evenings, the bar and spa too. So the experience is less special. The hotel, I understand, has changed hands. It’s still a lovely high-quality place, superbly renovated, and apart from the terrible art for sale, exhibited here and there, it’s tastefully and imaginatively done.

stayed 2 nights here, first time staying in Szeged, which itself was a very pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel is perfect, on a nice tree-lined street off the main tram-line and very short walk to all of the sites. Rooms and common area are stylish and nicely done - especially for being in a town this size, in this part of Europe. The restaurant was named 'most innovative kitchen in Hungary' and we had dinner there both nights and were very impressed. Service was excellent, mainly young staff that all had perfect English. Highly recommend this place and this city which is clearly THE most beautiful in Hungary after Budapest.

Spent 2 nights here. Great location, downtime is walk distance. Free parking and WiFi. Modern but friendly outfit using the advantage of the old building. Room is nice, food is excellent - tried only breakfast including in price and you may choose from quite a lot of options on order so prepared freshly. I liked best the young but engaged, and smiling staff. Really felt valued guest at the reception, in the coffee as well. Friendly hand written welcome notes, free chocolate and water in the room. Minibar is available. Rooms are close to aisle so noise can come in morning and night, but nothing else I could capture. Price reflects quality. Really great hotel more than recommended we loved it- hope to come back.

Spent a night here on route from Poland to Greece. Lovely property in an atmospheric little city. Everything has character. The restaurant is excellent and does a good breakfast, albeit it’s not of the buffet variety. Staff is very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The parking nearby is ample and practical. Excellent base for exploring the numerous sights of Szeged.

A beautiful stylish boutique hotel for people who look for the special place. Very welcoming reception and lovely waitress with excellent wine recommendations. Food in the evening and for breakfast was delicious. The whole place is charming.
