i was here for a week on business. there seems to be a variety of rooms, so i was lucky to have a big one, but no air conditioning during a sweltering week in Hungary meant i suffered sleep-wise, and the fan provided didn't really do enough. the staff were great and the food was lovely too, but the wifi... Right in the middle of town means it's the perfect place to stay. Within walking distance to multiple restaurants and also all the major attractions that Sopron has to offer. Staff speak English which is very helpful. The rooms are small and a tad warm as there is no fan or a/c but the location makes it worthwhile.

We stayed for one night (Monday-Tuesday) in June 2016 and had a pleasant experience for a very affordable price. The room war quiet and clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the sauna area, as well as view from the rooftop terrace. The hotel is located in the center of Sopron, close to all the sights and restaurants.

We spent two nights here during a driving tour of Hungary, Austria and Slovakia. It is a huge hotel with a fantastic roof terrace - an unexpected bonus was watching the birds migrate from a local wooded area to various roof tops at sunset (honestly more exciting than it sounds!). Sopron is a great place to spend a couple of... More

This gorgeous hotel is the oldest one in the city and dates from late 19th century. It has been splendidly renovated. Our room was a suite with a comfortable bedroom and a parlor with antique furniture. The main dining room looks like a ballroom with its columns and balcony. Staff was very cordial and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located... More

Rooms are very large though a little bit old-styled... (rooms at 1st floor have been Aboundant buffet breakfast (both salty and sweet). Right in the center of the town, so in a perfect position to visit Sopron

Nice hotel as base for sightseeing or buissness trip. City is nice and it is not so far from Vienna. My room was clean. There is no spectacular equipment but price to equipment is good. Breakfests were also good.

We can recommend this hotel. Big rooms, excellent breakfast, co-operative reception, private parking. Nearby the center of Sopron. Sopron is a small city with many historical buildings. We can reccomend Gambrinus restaurant with typical "Czech" food called "bramboráky".

Upon arrival I was stunned by the beauty of the building and its good location - it's a stone's throw from the old city centre. However, our room was way below the 4-star expectations. The bathroom must have remained from the 90s with an old shower head that splashed water everywhere. Some unremovable stain on the bathtub just made it... More

This place is a maze of rooms and halls - it's massive. Though a little dated it is a classic and charming. The staff are very good with competent English skills. The food is wonderful, especially breakfast. The wifi is sketchy in the rooms but decent in the foyer. Hard to go wrong, but make sure you check the prices... More
