I went to this hotel w high expectation since it’s a family resort and we have 2 kids. Indeed the hotel is well placed with very good opening to the Balaton lake, outside/inside pools. Enough space for everybody i would say. But for the money that we have paid for 1 wkd i would have expected way much more. Starting from the reception where i was welcomed by a young but tired and rather poorly dressed young lady..all the personnel in the reception was wearing a different (white?) blouse. She was nice still. Later I lived one of the most embarrassing moment of my life, ending up in my bathing suit in the middle of the restaurant where i thought i’ll find the welness reception to get my bathrobe- no, u will not find it on your bed, u’ll need to cross the whole hotel for the robe…Long story short: pure basic breakfast, nice personell, limited dinner options, good bath towels, no soap in the ladies room, no signs(arrows) where the locations are, bad wallpapers. I know that this branch was hit hard by the pandemics, but i do not see why we should be robed for such poor conditions.

A 4 star hotel, like this: - no air conditioner since 2 days throughout the hottest days of the year; - the room is about 50 percent cleaned up, on the balcon we found the swimming suit of the previuos guests... - fridgider doesn't work, and full with opened drinks; - no clean up and technical assistance since 5 hours - children bath doesn't work inside the spa

The rooms are smaller than expected and have very noisy A/C. When we got another room, only one unit was working, and it couldn't keep the temperature below 28°C. Furthermore, contrary to what their site says, rooms do not have separate toilet and bathroom. The breakfast was good. The dinner was nice but not as good as what you expect from a 5star hotel that prides itself on its cuisine. The menu repeated itself every 4th day, and the delivery was not spotless either (baked fish came raw, dessert with hair, or mold). The pastry and coffee offering was nice, but not special: the same thing that you had for breakfast. Similarly, the exclusive sausage and cheese serving with wine was again the 3 types of cheese recycled from breakfast, no sausage, and wines from the under 5€ category. (2 yr old rosé) The service was below 4* level. We had to ask for toilet papers, shower gel and/or towels every second day. The staff mostly knocked and entered our room while we were there disturbing us, instead of doing it while we were away. The linens weren't changed at all during our stay - or the hole on it was at the same spot each time they changed it. The good thing? The beach. It is close, and there is a sandy part with a small bay for small kids to play. COVID compliency: below expectations and below legal regulations. Overall, it was not bad, but well below our expectations based on the written offer, and below our experience in European 4* hotels, such as Accor Hotels in Western Europe. But it was more expensive.

Sleep Quality
Room Tip: Try to get a room with less A/C noise; higher numbers are better.

We stayed 6 days at Villa Azur (one bedroom) which was ok but little dated. But hote Azur's pool area and beach were so wonderful that I'll give to hotel Azur 4/5. Also staff was very friendly and nice. If we ever come back to Siofock for sure we will choose Hotel Azur again but premium side next time!

Unfortunately this Hotel is not a 4* one anymore some of the rooms are very disappointing, the superior rooms got some refurbishment, bathroom is the same old. The standard rooms are very old styled. Screaming children everywhere around you be aware of that!!! Air conditioning did not function during our entire stay!!! No daily cleaning!!! No toiletries only some kind of soap!! No coffee machine in the room and no gym!!!!
