When we visited Pécs we unfortunately missed the earlier train and so by the time we arrived local public trasport was not in service. Consequently, we stood at the station without an accomodation at 9.30 pm, desperate to find somewhere to sleep. We walked to the centre of the city with our bags and Aranyhajó was the only hostel we... More

I think it is a very good option for Pecs. I felt very comfortable, staff was extra nice (even if we were a big group and probably too messy sometimes) and you really felt in the middle of all. It is true that rooms are next to popular streets but, at least me, I don't remember any problem for falling... More

It said to be the oldest hotel in Hungary that you can see from some furniture. The rooms are basic but spacious. Breakfast is simple but various. It's really at the heart of Pecs which is very great but if you come by car it's not easy to find nor park. Price value for money is the best in town.

Location couldn't be better - situated less than a minute from the main square and right on one of the primary walking streets. Public areas have lots of character. Guest rooms, I was in room eight, are functional. Staff are very helpful. Guest room and public areas were very clean. Breakfast was okay - instant coffee - is less than... More

A bit run down charming hotel in a very good location. The breakfast was okay as well as the staff. If you have your own car, it will be hard to find the right way, and the parking place is very small but safe.

Despite poor cleanliness, the location, kind service and hotel historical value made our stay in Pecs beutiful. Strong north wind and first snow couldnt change the fact that the heating was great. Assuming the fact that this is the oldest hotel in Hungary, renovation regarding the historical value is the must

Stayed here for three days in October 2011, the owner was fantastic and absolutely fantastic. Gave myself and another couple a guided tour of the region. The rooms were comfortable and well priced. I would stay here again.

Pictures from the web site don't correspond to the real room, we chose a standard room but it was vero poor! Very bad cleaning, too hot and we couldn't open the window because the smell of the restaurants came into the room.. Bad experience.

The location on the main square in Pecs was excellent. Arriving by car and needing to find the parking lot was very difficult even after walking to the hotel to get a map (which was not correct). Concierge finally came into our car to direct us. (you have to drive across the pedestrian street to get to the parking) All... More

Worked fine for us, but it could have used a good cleaning. Beds were fine, but room furniture a bit worn. Not real clean, but not noticeably dirty either. As an aside, seemed in line with other like hotels in the area, but I really liked the location.
