The location of the apartment is extremely good. The center, the pedestrian street, many restaurants and the beach of Lake Balaton can be reached within a few minutes walk. The interior view of the apartment is pleasant, although the furniture and equipment are already heavily worn and need to be renovated. The apartment is only accessible by spiral staircase. The apartment (P11) itself has two floors, the one bathroom, for example, can only be reached by stairs. Not recommended at all for the elderly and people with limited mobility. The apartment for 4 people has a double bed on each level, so it is not recommended for families with children. The apartment has no air conditioning, ventilation is insufficient, there is absolutely no air upstairs. In high heat, the heat is unbearable. The staff is helpful and kind. Cleaning could be more frequent and thorough.

We arrived in mid-September with the aim of touring around our beloved lake by bike. The apartmant is a cosy, spacious one, although a bit worn-out, still in a quiet surrounding. The lake is a 5-minute ride by bike, and a 15- minute -walk through a lovely park. The town is a stylish , former resort town with beautiful buildings. We had a superb time , enjoying the Indian summer, were touring around the lake, visited awesome spots in the nearby hills, with breathtaking sights from the top.

Great country, Great locatie but poor complex. Every thing is very very old and you miss a lot. Its look like a retirement home. To many stairs also and that is strange. The restaurants in the strreets are Great and very cheep

This hotel has 3 buildings and no aircondition. Some room is under the roof in 3 floor and can be very hot in the summer. It is better to have a room in 1 or 2 floor. There is 2 gardens adn a swimmingpool. It is nearby to hte centre of the city and to Balaton sea. Good food in the restaurant . They have bicycles for rent .

Thoroughly enjoyed our week visiting this area of Hungary. We arrived by car from Budapest airport. This was the best way to travel and allowed us some flexibility in travelling around the area to explore. Getting to the hotel was straightforward and then onto our apartment location also with the guidance of hotel staff who spoke English. The apartment is located within walking distance of the town centre, lakeshores and local market, so it’s actually quite enjoyable to wander around and find your way exploring as you go. There’s a lovely cafe/bakery in the market street serving great coffee and delicious pastries for a reasonable price. Best place to eat we found down by the lake, looking out over the lake. Its accessible through the gate to the lake that is free after about 7pm in the evening. It’s called Sailing Bistro and serves local produce which is delicious.

Our unit was spacious but there was no A/C so for us, we needed to shower constantly and often, before bed. The staff was helpful enough but gave out bad tips such as where you need to park to avoid getting parking tickets. This is a pretty sparse town. I saw a lot of cars and a ton of empty spaces. I did not see parking meter attendant over the week my family was there. The pictures of the pool are deceiving. Our pool was a no bigger than an in ground house pool in the U.S. Kevin in the cafe is a really nice guy. He should get a raise.

Enjoyed my stay and think I`ll be back in the future. Wanted no excursions, not any program , only to sleep a lot of and to be alone for a longer period. This was completely fulfilled. Accidentally choosed this review option and the program does not allow to escape under 200 hundreds of characters. I didn`t use the restaurant nor the bar, and even not the wellnes facilities, so I don`t have any useful opinion on those.

I asked a non rooftop room and the hotel promised me, but I got a roogtop room. There was no air conditions. The windows were western and no aluminium shutter. The room was very hot. With open windows there were very noisy. We couldn't sleep at night. We were very tired.

Great resort with nice pool and nice views of city. Can rent bikes at around $7 a day per person. Can walk to beach, downtown and Festenics castle. No AC, but keep windows open. Some units have a fan.

It is apparent from previous reviews that certain RCI expectations from clients were not met. It is important the hotel is understood. The apartments are converted houses, not purpose built hotels so there are non of the associated modern amenities such as air conditioning. They are however spacious and have character, particularly the balconies. The location is fantastic, 10 minutes from Municipal Beach and less than 10 minutes from the centre of town. The pool is small but refreshing and there is a Sauna at the back of the garden. The staff are generally friendly and help where they can. There are some things to bear in mind. 1- There is no air con and the building can be stifling in summer. 2- The resort is generally marketed towards couples not families. 3- Parking is troublesome on the street so we rented the space in the secure area, for which we and every other guest are given a key. I thought the cost of £35 for the week was a little excessive, considering the lack of alternative options. 4 - WiFi was an extra 3000 HUF but was unreliable and worse than 4G. This should have been free rather than charging. 5- ‘Cleaners’ entered the room daily to take rubbish and change towels only on Wednesdays. Overall, it is a great place to see Keszthely and if you go with expectations a self catering apartment offers then I am sure you will enjoy. Go there expecting hotel service and you will be disappointed.
