Room nr. 13 is in other building where is sauna and pool. That’s nice. But the room is street level and if you keep curtains open there’s open view to street. Also noise comes directly. Also quite darkness. If you have a choice don’t take this room.

We have booked two rooms for 5 people, the rooms are very spacious, the beds are comfortable. In the kitchen there is a mini fridge and a necessary set of dishes. The staff is very polite and attentive. But there are details that can spoil the rest. It is very hot in the rooms, in August they heat up to maximum temperatures during the day and there is no coolness even at night. It is impossible to sleep with open windows, because mosquitoes fly. Room cleaning is offered only for money, only rubbish is taken out every day (which is a plus), towels are changed once a week on Wednesdays. But in general, if you don't expect 5 star service, the hotel is very nice.

It’s the second time we stay here at Abbazia Club Hotel. We like that within few minutes we are either in the downtown city or at the Balaton lake. Only negative thing this time is, that there are no longer any onsite parking and that you have to pay to park - we found a parking garage 10 minutes walk from the hotel….

Our 2nd time in Abbazia in Hungary in 10 years. We are coming back because the resort staff is extremely knowledgable, speaking several languages besides their native Hungarian, the resort is clean, friendly, the environment is breathtakingly beautiful, Lake Balaton (Europe's biggest lake, also called the Magyar Sea) is 10 minutes walk from the resort, and Keszthely is a gem of an European city.

The location of the apartment is extremely good. The center, the pedestrian street, many restaurants and the beach of Lake Balaton can be reached within a few minutes walk. The interior view of the apartment is pleasant, although the furniture and equipment are already heavily worn and need to be renovated. The apartment is only accessible by spiral staircase. The apartment (P11) itself has two floors, the one bathroom, for example, can only be reached by stairs. Not recommended at all for the elderly and people with limited mobility. The apartment for 4 people has a double bed on each level, so it is not recommended for families with children. The apartment has no air conditioning, ventilation is insufficient, there is absolutely no air upstairs. In high heat, the heat is unbearable. The staff is helpful and kind. Cleaning could be more frequent and thorough.

We arrived in mid-September with the aim of touring around our beloved lake by bike. The apartmant is a cosy, spacious one, although a bit worn-out, still in a quiet surrounding. The lake is a 5-minute ride by bike, and a 15- minute -walk through a lovely park. The town is a stylish , former resort town with beautiful buildings. We had a superb time , enjoying the Indian summer, were touring around the lake, visited awesome spots in the nearby hills, with breathtaking sights from the top.

This hotel has 3 buildings and no aircondition. Some room is under the roof in 3 floor and can be very hot in the summer. It is better to have a room in 1 or 2 floor. There is 2 gardens adn a swimmingpool. It is nearby to hte centre of the city and to Balaton sea. Good food in the restaurant . They have bicycles for rent .

Thoroughly enjoyed our week visiting this area of Hungary. We arrived by car from Budapest airport. This was the best way to travel and allowed us some flexibility in travelling around the area to explore. Getting to the hotel was straightforward and then onto our apartment location also with the guidance of hotel staff who spoke English. The apartment is located within walking distance of the town centre, lakeshores and local market, so it’s actually quite enjoyable to wander around and find your way exploring as you go. There’s a lovely cafe/bakery in the market street serving great coffee and delicious pastries for a reasonable price. Best place to eat we found down by the lake, looking out over the lake. Its accessible through the gate to the lake that is free after about 7pm in the evening. It’s called Sailing Bistro and serves local produce which is delicious.
