It's a very nice hotel. Difficult to find because it is 1 floor above ground in a shopping precinct.
Rooms good, breakfast good, but DO NOT stay on a Saturday night. The very loud bell from the Church next door start at 06:00 with around 40 chimes, then again every half hour till 08:00. The town has a very nice pedestrianised centre with tree cover. The last Sunday in May is Children's day in Hungary and there were plenty of sidestalls to wander around whilst taking in the centre.

This was the ideal way of getting a feel of what hungary is really like along with the comfort and convenience of a multilingual attentive staff. The location is right among the beatiful buildings of this historic town with sculptures and fountains at every turn!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our 17-roomed, family-like hotel is situated in the centre of Kecskemét. Thanks to its superb location, the major sights of the town are within easy reach. Shopping centres provide opportunity to do some shopping, in the nearby restaurants you can get acquainted with real Hungarian cuisine, and finding a good concert, a good movie, or some other forms of entertainment is never a problem. Kecskemét, which has been the County Town of Bács-Kiskun County since 1950, boasts of all the beauty and treasures of the Great Hungarian Plain. It is located in Central Hungary, 85 km from the capital Budapest. This agricultural area has been famous for its orchards and vineyards for a long time. By the end of 19th century Kecskemét grew out of being only an agricultural town; it became a busy modern city with rich cultural life. Due to its favourable geographical location, Kecskemét has become the centre of administration, economy, education and culture in the region. The city gives home to cultural institutions, unique collections, and such prestigious events as the Hírös Week Festival (organized since 1934), Kecskemét Animated Film Festival (KAFF), the Kodály Arts Festival, and the International Children’s Festival organised by the Future of Europe Association. Come and enjoy the atmosphere of the “good old days” in the Art-Nouveau style centre, and get acquainted with the Famous Town’s history, attractions and intellectuality. Our website provides detailed information about our hotel’s services, up-to-date programmes, packages, and price offers.
