The hotel located in small place which is fool of thermal and spa tourist. The hotel is about 1 km from city center, too far for place like this. It was the only negative fact.
There are positive facts - very comfortable, furnished and big rooms. All the staff speak English, free parking and nice spa in the hotel.
But the best thing - the breakfast. It included many unusual different things - all of them very tasty.
Good hotel for good price.

Hotel is a smaller one, but it nicely build, cared for and well run. its only 5minutes walk to the main pedestrian street leading to city spa.

Rooms are spacy, almost every room has a BIG balcony its clean, it has wifi all over the place. Breakfast was just great on the quite place with moody music. Bathtub for 5-6people and sauna are just perfect to use after quality dinner n the downtown.

To top of all that, there is really nice and helping staff which has always smile for you. we asked to recommend beach at Balaton, asked for weather forecast - lady at the reception handed out those informations with smile.

really pleasant hotel to stay in .

This is a small hotel with ca 20 rooms, owned and run by a family. The location is very good, a quiet street, and a nice garden, ca 10-14 minutes' walking distance to the lake of Héviz. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel has a jacuzzi and several other facilities. The staff was very polite. A tasty breakfast with many choices was provided, see photo. We have decided to return to this hotel during the springtime, when we shall visit Hungary again.

The hotel is in a quiet residential area but only a few mins walk from the main street.

All the staff were SUPER friendly and helpful and we felt really welcome.

Our room was massive with really good quality furniture and a big balcony.

The breakfast was the best we had in Hungary with lots of tempting tidbits.

The only negative was no A/C but this would not have been an issue if the weather had not been 38 degrees!

Kind of small hotel I would always recommend and come back again. The rooms (as described alredy by others) are really spacious, you can sleap at opened window, which was just pleasant, staff really nice...
Breakfast offer was more than I expected, allthough the quality is not always the best (cheap yogurts, apples out the fruit only, etc..).
Spa is really small, but pleasant.
Was missing possibility to have the breakfast outside as we had great weather and this would just be a perfect dot.
The distance to the city centre and lake of Heviz is just about perfect to have a little walk, but close enough.

We loved this place! The tourist office in downtown Heviz helped us book it on the spot. We had a HUGE room with a balcony. After a day of traveling, we just sat on the balcony and enjoyed the tranquility. The weather was so lovely, we slept with the balcony doors open. The room had some nice touches like a small ocillating fan, bathrobes, and shoehorn. The room and bathroom were very clean. The shower didn't drain very well. The reception staff were very helpful...limited English, but we found the huge majority of tourists to be German, so English probably isn't all that useful for them. The breakfast was nice and was included in the room rate. Downstairs is a sauna and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi water was lukewarm, so we didn't stay in long. My American blood expects hot! Be aware (so you don't miss it) that as you walk up the hill from town, the hotel "street" you're looking for is really more like an alley. Also, there are wine cellars on up the road...about a 15 minute walk to the outskirts of town...which make a nice place for dinner.

Stayed at the Hotel Sante for 4 nights and was very pleased with the staff, accommodation and great breakfast.
I had only booked for 2 nights but after a terrible disappointment and let down of the Hotel Carbona I checked back in here for a further 2 nights.
The rooms are very large with a balcony (much larger than Carbona), chairs, table, cable TV, safe, fridge (there is no phone but to compensate they let you use reception phone/internet free of charge even if phoning the UK - unheard of in most hotels!).
The bathrooms are basic (ie shower no bath & with no toiletries except liquid soap) but very clean and perfectly adequate and the money you save staying at this great hotel could buy you top quality soaps etc and leave you with change.
There is no pool but there is a jacuzzi and Sauna all very clean and modern looking and you can book to have a range of theraputic massages in your room from the many available in Heviz - friendly and helpful staff will arrange this for you.
The breakfast was fresh with a great buffet selection and they will take orders for hot eggs and bacon cooked to order at no extra charge. As the hotel is not that big the food all looks fresh (not like some of the stale and withered offerings at larger hotel buffets.
Overall I would rate this hotel as very good value, immaculately clean in a very central location 5 minutes easy walk to centre, lake etc. and the staff are friendly, helpful and speak quite good english. At time of writing price was 35 Euro single (55 double) including breakfast, per night.

We made a telephone reservation in the afternoon and have arrived late at night. The receptionist was waiting for us, handed us a key and let us do the check-in the next day. That was very nice gesture.
In the morning another receptionist gave us some advices where to cycle and also gave us cycling map, which was quite useful. Throughout our visit, staff was polite, cheerful and helpful.

Our room was spacious, clean and we had free wifi in it. The bed, however, was not double, but two separate twins together and they could slide apart. Refrigerator was also in the room, as well as tv.
Breakfast choice is pretty wide, but after three days we were already in trouble, what to eat. There were many vegetable/meat/cheese dishes, that we are used to eat warm and they were all cold. But - as said - for three days breakfast variety suffices.

We used hotel sauna and jacuzzi once - free of charge for the guests and it is a small but nice wellness area.

I inquired about the price during our telephone conversation - quote was lower as the quote on booking.com, so I agreed. On our check-out, there was another receptionist and the invoice we got had a higher price than quoted over telephone. In the end we paid more than we would through booking.com. That left a bit bitter taste.
