We only have good experiences, excellent service, nice and clean place, amazing food, we also forgot our jbl in the room, few days later they posted it to us, packed very carefully. Can only recommend
Overall, it is a clean and proper hotel with good wellness facilities. I particularly enjoyed the sauna room and the swimming pool. There could be some improvement for the food selection with healthier options. Thank you to all the staff in the hotel who were welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, but not What I would call 4 Star. For example there was no tea or coffee in the room, you had to pay extra to have it. They charged for water in the restaurant which i dontvthink is right. The decor is Quirky but dated I also found it odd that the bar+ restaurant closed at 9. 30. Most staff didn’t speak English even on reception but more importantly some were unhelpful and not friendly. When my sons room wasn’t cleaned one day and I mentioned this to reception in the evening we were told it would have to wait until next day. Pool is nice but small and the fitness room didn’t open until 8.00. The food was a mixed bag as well. Breakfast quite nice but no juice just watered syrup style juice. The evening buffet gets repetitive day after day and quality of meat dishes isn't good and no vegetarian options …
I visited the hotel with my boyfriend. We spent 2 nights there. We enjoyed the bar service. We got a massage that was very relaxing. The wellness part is ok. It's small comparing with the number of the guests. But it was clean all the time. The dinner and the breakfast is decent. A few things could be improved but it is ok. Everything is close to the hotel so it has a central location.
My friend and I have booked a room at Palace Hotel with the formula of a private apartment within the hotel but a free access to hotel thermal services (Pools and Saunas), as well as a discount coupon for Héviz's Thermal Lake. The owner of the apartment, after we checked in, collected our payment and came as we checked out on the last day, even though communications were not easy as she spoke only in Hungarian. Even though we've had to arrange for our own meals, it was a positive stay, the room was well equipped and maintained, the pools and saunas were amazing, and really relieved us from all the stress of our normal life. Great stay for great value. We'll definitely return.
