Food is really good i cant complain on food but wifi is really bad as soon as i left the hallway and entered my room internet turned off and if im in hallway everything is great. Room wasn't 100/ clean when i entered, and the bathroom wasn't in good condition on the mirror were some marks and in shower were some black dots like its not full colored. Beds are really weird there is some extra wood on the edges of the bed so when you come out of bed you're legs are on wood and it hurts a little. Service is good actually they all speak english so you can talk to them normally if you have a problem. And one more thing, when i moved the bed i found a tissue i couldnt believe.
Good standard breakfast. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. They also took care of my luggage on the day I checked out. Room was clean. Location off brilliant right around the corner of the old city part and the castle. Great plus is also the breakfast that's offered from 7AM, so very convenient if you have any meetings in the morning. They have a sauna and whirlpool, though nobody obeys rules in the sauna (no towels underneath) & I found it really unhygienic to wear my bathing suit in the sauna. Furthermore appliances in the bathroom looked dated and I couldn't properly close the door of the shower because it was poorly repaired with ducktape.
This hotel is shabby, and poorly cleaned and maintained. We were given a room in which the shower was not attached to the wall, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, and the sink lacked a plug. The bed was uncomfortable and creaked loudly with every movement. Most of the staff speak no English (or French or German, as far as we could tell), so it is challenging to communicate with them. On a positive note, the shower was repaired the same day once we brought it to the manager's attention, the location is convenient, and the staff went to uubstantial trouble to find a replacement for an item I lost.
Awful sercive! Beds are old as hell, very uncomfortable. Staff was unfriendly. Breakfast and dinner was terrible and poorish. Noone cares about running-out food of the buffet table, cofee machine breaked down every morning, nobody fixed it. Dinner food was extremly greasy.
The beds were aged, although the bathroom was really great and new. The breakfast was plentiful. However at dinner nobody could get a tap of water from the service only if you paid for it at a very excessive price (you are not allowed to bring your own drink). The kitches staffs were phlegmatic, careless. They started to clean as soon as possible it didn't matter customers still consume (in host time). They useed their hand to clean the tables and hide the crumbs to weep them to the floor. It was also not nice to see their personal cosmetic issues had made druing meal time. First day unfortunatelly our plate of salad fell over the cloth. In the third day the same cloth waited for us without any cleaning. The reception was neglethful. They were on the phone with their on personal issues during the customers waited for them. I can't reccommend to foreign people, because nobody speaks English in the hotel. The location is really good. Near to the castle and the main sight-seeings. The gym was antique and most of those machienes were broken ( around 5 piece of machienes).…
Dated hotel fixtures and fittings. The spa/jacuzzi water was tepid. The breakfast consisted of stale breads, out of date yoghurts and mysterious looking eggs. The hotel had rented their dining room to a party that played loud tacky music well into the evening (past midnight). Some of the ‘management’ staff were rude, all were unprofessional. I have nothing pleasant to say about this establishment.
We stayed here for 2 nights, breakfast was nice, the hotel reception very helpful and friendly and overall was good experience. For people who doesn't have high expectations just need a good stay, wine and chill in a pool during the evening, this is the best place.Good for the money and just walking distance from city centre, the castle and the basilica. The valley of the beautiful women (Szepasszonyvolgy) about 30 mins walking distance, or 5-7 mins by car.
We got a coupon for a 3 days/2 nights stay in this hotel with all you can eat breakfast and dinner. The price was good, though the reviews were disappointing. Looks like the hotel reacted to those and renovated the building and cleaned up their act. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean too. The room had mini-fridge, good for cooling our wine, and a tiny LCD television which we did not even turn on. Who needs TV in Eger??? The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is just excellent - right in the center of everything! With 5 minutes walk you can reach even the Market Hall and the Castle, not to mention the Turkish Bath. The food was plenty. The breakfast selection is very small. I can't find butter at all, just some spread. One morning we got the last night's "nokkedli" (spezl, noodle) mixed with scrambled eggs. Recycling in action ... Dinner was good, at least 4-5 different kind of meat and vegetables.…
The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar services were excellent. Our room was clean, a little bit simple but comfortable. Beautiful panorama of the castle of Eger. The wellness was small with one pool but it was great and we had a relaxing massage. (There were also two saunas and a gym.) The city of Eger is also beautiful and one of my favorite in Hungary. The location of this hotel is also practical because it is in the middle of the old town everything take just a few steps. What a great few days:) Thank you:)))
Reception: Kind and helpful. Room: The room was clean but they should invest some money into the swapping of CRT televisions. Food: Well it depends on your taste. I would say that the breakfast did not include a wide range of variety. Eggs, cold cuts, sunny-side-up, cheese. Sausages, and vegan stuff were missing. So do not expect big variety of food stuff like English breakfast or anything. Lunch was good but no respect could be seen to nationalities. Typical Hungarian food. You will like it if you eat spicy food. Dinner is all the same. Waiters and waitresses were very kind but they should find a good cook or chef who would rise the quality of the food. Massage: Csilla was my masseuse who was very talkative and very kind. She has powerful hands. The massage room was very basic lacking the the possibility of real relaxation by great relaxing music and shaded room. I missed this. The wellness: Small jaccuzi with two sauna place. Simple places but good to have some time. Fintess room is rather a cardio room. Disappointment: The first day we wished to have a drink at the outer side of the bar. Horrible trance-like music was being played with lots of interruption due to the speed of the internet connection ( I guess) So in the end we decided to visit a pub. On the other hand we were shocked to see that we had got two separate beds instead of a big one. We had to sleep separately. I was happy but my girlfriend was not. :) So if you are a couple tell it at the booking because they won't ask. Unfortunately the beds could not be pushed together because the frame of them are wide wooden staff so if the beds are joined you can be sure that about 40cm still separates you.…
