Don’t visit this hotel if you want to have a good night sleep. However Debrecen is not famous for its night life, there are drunk people wondering around right under the windows. We barely slept the two night we’ve spent there. The hotel is nice though...

They have misinformed me on where I can park my car at upon arrival even though I asked about the specific parking spot where my car was parking. I received a parking violation notice the following morning. They took the parking ticket from me and said they "will take care of it", I should not worry. Well, I got a roughly $100 fine. When I called them regarding the issue and in the following email conversation, they were overly defensive, used pseudo-politeness to cover their patronizing tone. Told me that their staff is highly trained and would "never" approve the parking spot I was parking at. Also, "I cannot prove" that the receptionist told me that that it is ok to park where I was parking, and repeatedly reminded me, it is not their responsibility for the guest to obey traffic rules. What should I do, record every conversation I have to prove that as a guest I am not a liar? Highly trained staff never ever make any mistakes? I got misinformed twice. Once at check-in once at check-out. Now I have to pay for being misguided. I do not remember the last time a receptionist struck a tone with me the way this guy did over the phone. By the way, I waited patiently for about 30 minutes at check-in, because they had one other party checking out.

I can only reflect about the hotel in superlatives: recently renovated, spacious, clean rooms, friendly staff. 1. Location: absolut top! By the big church on the main square all the best restaurants are situated in 5-10 minutes walk. Forum Shopping Center also less than a km. 2. Rooms: renovated, very clean, well-equipped (safe, coffee/tea maker, amenities, free water bottle, free WiFi), spacious (big covered balcony), silent. Bathroom has also been renovated and kept in great condition. 3. Breakfast: fantastic, huge Sortiment of Hungarian traditional breakfast dishes also many types of bread, milch, etc. Unfortunately it was a bit cold in the breakfast room. 4. Parking: for free in front of the hotel. Value for money is 10/10 no doubt! All our extra wishes (early check-in, silent room, parking) was realised immediately and this Is for 80€ per night for 2 people with breakfast. Staff is friendly, fast and “invisible”. Would return anytime.

I came here for business and the rooms were new, comfortable, clean, spacious and adequate for working (good, large lit desk). The only thing I missed was a gym and a full time restaurant, HOWEVER for the price it is a great place and you couldn't ask for more. The breakfast has several options hence it can cater almost any taste. The location is also excellent. Reception service was good and helped me booking a taxi and finding a Hungarian restaurant for lunch. I would definitely go back.

What a great hotel, arrived and checked in and the person behind the desk was staff friendly and helpful and gave me a parking pass for my car. Room was spacious and clean and like most European hotels have 2 duvets, the Bed and pillows were quite comfortable, I opened the window as room got a little hot for me, but that wasn’t an issue. Location is perfect as right next to the towns square and a lot of places to eat and drink around the place. Only thing to remember there is no bar and restaurant/ Room service at hotel but they offer breakfast which has nice selection.
